For a lot of people it's instant orvr action, I imagine. You log on, look for an open warband and just fly to the right zone.

ya , but , i am sorry , zerging (orvr) is not pvp to me , it s more like pve with a brainless opposition (enemy hit on wtvr they can ) there is no real tactics involved , all we do is ride from keep to keep kill a boss (hero) and repeat it untill real life obligations make us leave the comp . PVEDOOR

How dare you insult the way the game was intended to be played.

Kinda funny at this point that most seem to have never experienced any kind of organized RvR with coordinated warbands from both sides of the realm aside from the usual open pug WBs.

Orvr is how you operate as a group. Players individual skill are much more based on how well you work with others in a group rather then having being individual unkilleble or having the individual best dps. Its the teamwork of it that speaks to me. A player that has never experinced organized warband vs warband arn't gonna get this. What suprices me is how many people in this forum who never seems to have experienced this. It was the majority of PVP in this game for moast of its timespan on live. Its really easy to see what people it is aswell. Its the ones who only thinks of the game ballance in small scale context or just repeats zerg is bad, no skill in zerging etz over and over.

If you define orvr as zerging and vice versa I think modimor is right, and you've never actually experienced organised orvr.

t1-3 ORvR this is mostly true, and post city farmode days on live in t4.
The devs on this server have a chance to... "Make ORvR Great Again!™"
And by that I mean fostering an atmosphere with the T4 campaign that puts an emphasis on coordinated guild/alliance warbands in order to progress towards the endgoals in the campaign. Meaning things will have to be put in place to stop people from doing things like "Hey lets just let them push our city since farming the defense will be more lucrative for us then trying to stop them" etc...
