Combined with the +35% tactics, they can actually heal allies while moving (althoug AP cost is still too high). I know, I know... maybe it is not enough. But it is a start, and it tells you that devs are aware of the main issue with healing on these classes (like you mentioned, not being able to heal while kiting). I'm sure they will get more love if they need it (they don't in T3, imho).
BTW, has anyone done the math and compared Gork'll fix it + 35% tactic to Flash of Chaos? Which one has more heal-per-second? I'm very curious.
I know, i am the one who pushed for thhat change instead of the "let ams cast funnel essence on the move!" bullshit, not only because that made FE too good but because that made Shamans get nothing and they need it, that and i dont want more "order bias" tantrums.
Thing is, wild healing makes healing energy not so bad, shamans do not have such a thing, maybe a good change would be removing the giving Ap on heals tactic for shaman and the morale one for am and give both of them Wild healing and pass it on.
And about the math, even if i didnt bother to do the numbers, as long as Tzeentch grip exists, flash will be on top, that wihtout mentioning ap costs or the fact that its a hot and enchanment so it can be removed.

Pass it on is not even worth mentioning, it sucks, alot.

It would have been fine if it worked off Hot ticks...maybe.

I am not saying it is but if shamans get wild healing instead of the worthless ap tactic, Ams will want something isntead of their worthless morale tactic.
Even if its not worth mentioning, it has a niche use for Ams that hide behind the wall and hope for wild healing and pass it on procs.
Giving kids candy when you tell them to stop picking their noses usually stops them from complaining you know?
After all, its even nor worth mentioning so, why even care that ams get it? specially if you would get wild healing in return.

Yeah, but is it used for keeping allies alive? Or as an extra survivability tool for solo DPS AM?
Legit question.
A DPS AM, who has no other defensive target than himself, is a bad one.
As bad as those who don't swap to healing gear, when being the only heal class on their team.
What i meant was: can it make the difference between keeping someone alive or him dying? Or is Arcing Power only useful as extra small bits of healing that help the AM (or his duo partner) when soloing/duoing?
25% feels really low. Maybe if it healed your whole group for 25% and not just your defensive target. Maybe if Waaagh! Frenzy/Expanded Control also changed I'll Take that!/Balance Essence so they affect your whole group.
Idk. As i said i feel healing/DPS Shaman is fine, and the only problem i see is their lifetap healing (in a 6v6/12v12 situation). I could be wrong, but that's how i feel. Cheers.
Lifetap healing is assist healing, you don't replace a full time healer.
It excels in situations, where you can target squishy enemies or objects to gain large heal in return.
I don't say that it is a perfect tactic but it's the best one for the last remaining slot.

And let's not forget Zealot synergizes perfectly with DoK, while Shaman doesn't at all.

I dont care if am's get it im just pointing out that it sucks and is bottom of the list of viable healing tactics.

I wouldnt say they excel above zealots, armor proc, absorc proc and + 25% heal proc for me brings more then a shaman can.
The only valuable thing a shaman can bring and do best is the largest toughness debuff in the game with a tactic which means you are dps spec. Sure an aoe snare and ap drain can be mentioned but resolute defense and melle snare immunity cancels that out and ap drain can be cleansed, granted not by wp's.
shamans cant be catch at 6v6, it is almost impossible to stop their kite /there are one-two exeptions/ so at that limited environment their survavibility make them much better than zealots. Healing numbers are not so important at such scale so all zealots benefits are not so important, one dok could do better even without them.
on top of that shamans bring ap leech which can punish enemy dps quite alot, aoe slow to control the flow of the battle and insta ress that could be the difference between the wipe and the win. These things are much more valuable than some heal increase that is quite meh when the dmg is focused
been there, done that. My group on live was picking shaman over zealot every single time. So yea
ps restorative brust procing on heal /so from hots/ will fix shamans ap issues. It is beyond me why healer that got healing over time focus got so many tactic working from direct healing only.
