In the future, we need a rethink of how strikethrough is generated, either through renown stats or adjusting base stats, to make sure that we neither have the trap situation of basic 30% strikethrough on every DPS, requring you to have above 30% parry/disrupt/dodge before you get any benefit at all, nor the uncounterable defense situation of current Return of Reckoning.
I've never seen any evidence for the stuff that Londo posted on strikethrough. Perhaps it was part of an early beta stage of the game but it was never part of the live game. Bruglir's formulas were worked out fairly early in the game's history and he obviously never saw any sign of the extra strikethrough formula. I tested Parry and Block rates with over 2,000 hits in 2010 and with over 10,000 hits in 2012 and, apart from the block rate difference against one-handed weapons that I have previously described, there was never any variation from Bruglir's formulas. There was never any indication of another strikethrough capacity that reduced defense rates.
