Poll: BOs and SMs
Re: Poll: BOs and SMs
Agreed. That's why i haven't commented on SMs yet. This is definitely good for them even at T4, no doubt.

Re: Poll: BOs and SMs
I think every change would be good, but even then still inferiour to knight/chosen auras.Coryphaus wrote:What if da greenest increased the resistances of all types everytime and not just the type hit?
Because there is a "no changes" crowd in this community, that has no arguments but a lot of passion.Coryphaus wrote: Also for every person voting that you think the classes are fine can you state why you think so? not a single person has stated why but have voted that way

At least no one has asked for a nerf... yetCoryphaus wrote:What if da greenest increased the resistances of all types everytime and not just the type hit?

Re: Poll: BOs and SMs
Luth i went wrong with that assertion. I can see the benefit of that kb with the possibility of a khaine/vaul build, but i still think the main handicap for the viability of a ether dance build is that aa reset. It burns a good portion of your dps and make a str 2h build just laughable by average healers.
Re: Poll: BOs and SMs
all tank dps is laughable to healers really in my opinion, few exceptions being bg, ib and blorc cause the former 2 have outgoing h debuffs and blorcs have SYF! though all 3 are only good at "dealing" with solo healerspeppex91 wrote:Luth i went wrong with that assertion. Re: Poll: BOs and SMs
When trying to balance/buff a tank class these things are the bread and butter for any tank(the other 2 mirrors) for viable tanking. Lets sum it up:
BO:
-Knockdown core or at 9points (check)
-Aoe Snare via spec tactic or ability (check)
-St super punt core or via spec tactic(no)
-A usefull debuff or more they got armor debuff and stat steal (check)
SM:
-Knockdown core or at 9points (check)
-Aoe Snare via spec tactic or ability (no) correct me if im wrong plz
-St super punt core or via spec tactic(no)
-A usefull debuff or more they got spirit debuff and stat steal (check)
So for both classes the core things for a tank that need to be checked are aoe snare(SM) st long punt (SM/BO)

Re: Poll: BOs and SMs
Another thing to consider when buffing SM is the type of buff/debuffs that seem to be the most valuable are all inclusive.
The knights 15% increased healing for group does not discriminate against non-direct heals, while most similar mechanics seem to do so. Their tactic "dirty tricks" is beneficial to everyone in your party, where as most if not all other similar tactics (even their other 10% tactic) discriminates against heal crit.
The knight is a good tank to have no matter what your group composition is.
The IB on the other hand seems to be specialized in buffing and assisting a physical DPS, with armor debuffs, str and ws buffs etc...
Maybe SM could be buffed in such a way to specialize in buffing casters, or classes that deal non physical damage? So that if you where building a meta group around say a BW you would consider a SM the better choice over an IB.
Just some thoughts and it's already a stretch with the SM theme, and probably won't port over well to the BO.

I like this idea for SM and think its very fitting for the class theme etc.
BO is more like the IB a physical dps buffer ws buff armor debuff and so on
Sounds really nice to me

Re: Poll: BOs and SMs
obvious solution fro blorcs for st punt is to make that change to the Mor' Hardcore tactic
furthermore sms are good buffers to white lion the problem is that white lion is bad and cant compete with slayer, if you nerf slayers and buff wls more ordo 6 mans would run wls or whs more often and this could make sms more desirable
though im sure jaycub, you would love the thought of sms buffing dps ams

yes, but how does that fit into BO theme/lore if it is to be mirrored? BO isn't exactly the type of thing you would see fighting alongside casters :^)
