Re: Drops worse than ever?
Purples were hardly ever seen in live. rvr and sc currency drops will fix any drop issues. When rvr gear, rvr spec and sc weapons are available pve gear wont matter..

Less than you meant?

Re: Drops worse than ever?
I was running in a guild 6man party last night and we saw quite a few drops in RvR, over one hour of playing, and it included one Woe item. So pretty good now.
Re: Drops worse than ever?
the drop rate is pretty decent and the buff is definitely noticable. yesterday we ended up with around 350 PvP kills on our 6 man team. everyone had his bag filled with tons of green stuff and in total we got 2 woe and 1 murderers item.
Re: Drops worse than ever?
Those numbers are in line with what I would expect from my math, but that also means that a 6 man group is receiving the same drop rates as a 24 man WB? At least IMO there is something wrong with that, because if it catches on no one will want to zerg, and just make 6 mans and try to get as many frags as they can. This means avoiding other groups that could potentially steal your DB's, or the creation of groups w/ comps specifically designed to last hit. Maybe have warbands receive increased loot at 12, and 20+ players to compensate?Bretin wrote:the drop rate is pretty decent and the buff is definitely noticable. yesterday we ended up with around 350 PvP kills on our 6 man team. everyone had his bag filled with tons of green stuff and in total we got 2 woe and 1 murderers item.
The main is to get more blues/purples into the market. Most players will agree after you gear your character out in butchers etc... and get a mount your progression hits a gigantic brick wall that is impossible to climb.

Actually I don't follow your Math.Jaycub wrote: Those numbers are in line with what I would expect from my math, but that also means that a 6 man group is receiving the same drop rates as a 24 man WB? If one Destro is killed he drops maybe one Item. Regardles if he is killed by on person, 6 or 24.
If you are in a 6er group you still roll on loot by characters who have been killed by your group.
If you are in a 24er wb you roll on loot by characters who have been killed by your group.
So you have an increased chance of drop as more destros are killed, or better said you have the chance to roll on more enemies drops, which is compensated by the extra persons in your warband who roll also.
So why should WB drop be increased? It should be actually the same.
And to make things worse, As far as I know drop rates are based on the dead characters or Mobs. Not depending on what entity he was killed.

well if the 6man group is capable of killing a WB its clear they get more items. if they only capable of killing another 6man group they have the same dropchance/perplayer as a WB would have killing another WB.
only if a WB stomps over a 6man group, the WB would have a smaller droprate/perplayer then a 6man group vs. a 6man group.
sounds logical to me?
generally i think purple drop SHOULD be seldom and precious, where is the fun when a purple drops every fight otherwise. this is not diablo after all ^^

Re: Drops worse than ever?
There is going to be a lot of conflicting philosophies regarding how gear should be distributed in a PvP only game. You have the extreme side of GW1 where everyone should be on exactly the same playing field regarding gear no matter what, warhammer I believe was the middle ground where you worked your way twards gear via token system which worked pretty well to squash RNG based only loot, and then finally you have shitty korean MMO's which im not even going to get into.Tiggo wrote: generally i think purple drop SHOULD be seldom and precious, where is the fun when a purple drops every fight otherwise. this is not diablo after all ^^
The ultimate goal of the devs is obviously bringing back the token system, but in the meantime we are stuck w/ this conundrum of how Woe/Runescribed Murderers/Slaughter should be distributed. Me personally, I feel like if the numbers I came up with are correct they should be increased at least 4 fold for blues and purples, and kept the same for greens so they don't become trash. Like I have said before many players have hit a brick wall w/ gear progression and can't even fathom how they will continue because... they can't even find gear they want in trade or the AH. Is their purple item 200g?...500g?...1k?....2k? No one knows. I find myself in this group as well, and have just rerolled a caster so purple weapons don't matter as much (weapon dps).
You would be really surprised how many frags a 6 man can pull off compared to the current WB's in T2. In fact I can almost guarantee you that any of the vented 6 man order premades I see running around the lakes currently are pulling off at least the same amount of DB's as the pug warbands if not more. For some reason getting kills is much harder in this servers T2 state than it ever was on live, due to a lot of factors at play here that were not on live.Glorian wrote:
