Well, the T2 and AAO "tips" can't be seriously considered as tips in all honesty. A single player nor a 6 man has any influence on AAO.
Playing T2 is hard because those secondary zones are usually dead / badly populated.
Conq can be grinded. Subjugator weps can get replaced by SC II weps. Genesis has no second reliable way.
You could open 100 blue bags and still miss a piece. Even the ultimate rng machine d3 has alternatives besides hitting mobs (Kadala and cube).
There is a deficit.
I think me and my guild mates couldn't care less as mentioned cause we are stacked. We are just pointing things out.
And as I mentioned, I don't think the game has to artificially motivate with gear hunt, more the opposite, ppl. get frustrated and quit if they feel they can't put in more work to aquire a gear piece and need merciful rng. I think everything is in line besides Genesis.

I apologise for my tongue in cheek reply.Hargrim wrote:Don't be too smart.Egoish wrote:Thanks again for your informative and considered response to valid player concerns.
I'd love to help by logging my contribution vs reward to provide informed feedback but since "contribution" is a hidden concept vs the much more important random roll it's very hard to provide informed feedback on these systems.
There were informative and considered responses made by me and other team members in this thread on previous pages. Should I just quote it again?
I don't want to ruffle feathers but i haven't found any dev response in this thread informitive. Being told to "do more" when you play a healer, who has proven broken rewards, in a guild warband doing the most in every zone simply rings untrue.
I do think the new system with a chance of people getting things is better than a few getting everything, but i do honestly think it is far from perfect.
Re: Loot Bags and Contribution
No idea how contribution matters, to me it feels random but I don't pay to much attention to it .

So what more do you want to know? It is as simple as described here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=24457&start=10Egoish wrote:I apologise for my tongue in cheek reply.

I will probably look at implementing bonuses for each tier separately and changing bag types people that are not 31+ get, but it's not done yet and as always no ETAs.
Healer contribution was discussed to the death in other threads, so nothing I can add here.

Re: Loot Bags and Contribution
I and i should hope others will understand that there can be no eta, knowing that you are even considering bonus accrual on t2 hags for r40 is a huge step in the right direction and i will withdraw my comment of no informative posts.Hargrim wrote:So what more do you want to know? Though to be fair that post is nothing and means less in actual terms.
Re: Loot Bags and Contribution
Well said, alternatives to purchase gear rather than rely on RnG assist everyone. People are motivated by gear and content, yes, but will quit/leave the game when they feel there is little to no chance of getting the items they need (want) & population dips/fights diminish.ragafury wrote:Well, the T2 and AAO "tips" can't be seriously considered as tips in all honesty. Re: Loot Bags and Contribution
At an average of 6 conq emblems a win, I'll need about 330 SC wins to get conq wep.
That thing had better be good for that commitment to masochism!
Been 40/40 for about two weeks. Didn't do too much rvr as I leveled via SC's.
Currently have one conq piece from a gold bag, subjugator 2h hammer, 3 offensive genesis pieces and 2 defensive from duplicate drops and previously had all 3 imperious warrant items.
Collected full anni and full merc + r39 weapons prior to 40/40.
Now I do not commit to rvr, play between 30mins and 2 hours a day depending on how it goes. So for a true casual over two weeks I think the grind is ok.
Not too much, too quickly but enough to keep me wanting to play and those conq medals are starting to add up.

On my Mara I participated is dozens of ~2hr long zone fights then get dozens of white bags and 1 green and a gold bag
Where as on my BO I half ass into fights 30 mid before a filp spam raze a couple a times and I get a purple 2 blues and a gold in that consecutive order
*shrug*
Say putting in minimal effort lets you roll on the 2% chance to get a gold bag. That minimal effort rewards you a +2% bonus to get a bag. You roll a 10. Meh, white bag. +2 gets added to your contribution for next time.
Put in a whole lot of effort for that roll instead. Get a +10% bonus.
Suddenly rolling that 10 awards you the bag instead. But your contribution so far is used up.
Or say you roll a 30 both times. Minimal effort gives you that 2% bonus to your NEXT roll, where tons of killing gives you that 10% bonus to your next roll. Sure, you can do bugger all and eventually win bags. Or you can play like it matters and get loot faster.
That's all it really is.
I'm in the same boat with my marauder, and pretty frustrated... Came into T2-4 at RR 22.. Now at RR 46, almost 47.. 7580 RVR kills for a sum total of 1 (one) gold bag. Countless keep defenses, takeovers, etc. Hours in RVR lakes, have completed the 100 kill quest at least 8 times. Really don't see how I'll EVER get a set of conq gear before 2020, especially when you consider the odds of getting a duplicate item in a gold bag, if I ever GET another. My question is, how could I possibly play more like it matters??
Re: Loot Bags and Contribution
Gold bag at rr46 doesn't seem that bad granted we're having a double rr event. Right now I'm 52RR and so far I've got 1 gold, 1 blue, 5 greens and countless whites but I'm also very close to buying my first RR45 scenario weapon. It doesn't seem that grindy from my point of view but I'm a student so I have loads of time on my hands so I can understand that for someone who actually has a job and family the grind can be a little discouraging.
