I guess I love this game more than I hate SC.

Id say the number of people that just solo is similar in number to those that pre. They are both a minority in a game that is about rvr. I spend most of my time in open warbands. Like most others. Everyone has a different idea about what this game is 'meant' to be. Its an mmo at the end of the day.peterthepan3 wrote:
No disrespect intended, but if it meant that more people were forming groups and playing together, I think the loss of a few people who insist on playing alone in a group-based game wouldn't be too catastrophic.
I echo a lot of what has been said thus far: people feeling the need to be on their A-game, feeling that premades may shout at them if they do something wrong, and the feeling that a few incentives are needed.
Do you not find it a shame that in a group-based PvP game, '90%' of people have no interest playing in organised groups/warbands, nor delving into the game's potential and unlocking cool synergies?Telen wrote:Id say the number of people that just solo is similar in number to those that pre. I think the attitude that the game is meant to be played a certain way and everyone else is doing it wrong is a good example of why many people arent interested.
If people wanted to get involved with premades they would already be doing it. The rewards are there with increased renown and drops. No need to lock gear to a certain playstyle that 90% of the playerbase have so far showed no interest in. If you want people to get involved think how you can actually make it fun. Not ways to force them. A good start would be maybe not telling people its only pres that are playing the game correctly.
I mostly play alone or with guildies. Not because I hate grouping.... with the right people I quite enjoy it. But I dont like the drama the lfg channel provides. A lot of people there think, only because you use comms and have a setup, you are as good as a real premade. If they then loose to a premade which spent years of blood and sweat to get this good, most people throw a temper. I dont really like that attitude.peterthepan3 wrote:

Who said anything about playing correctly? By your own admission, you play in open warbands - that is grouping up, to an extent. I am curious about people that don't even do that, and the reasons for this choice.
