What exactly is tedious? Steamrolling zerg and lack of challenge?
Do you really believe this happens only because of crossrealming, and not because different people play at different time?


Can we have some logical explanation from people who vote for perma lock how will it improve the game?

Alright you locked people out of switching sides.
Now you are locked a situation where one side has 50% more players in the zone and just zergs the opposition without any contest.
How ya gonna fix it now? Put NPC guards around? :mrgreen:

Devs already have total freedom (at least within the constraints of game necromancy ;) )

I've voted for no permanent realm lockouts. I hope that most of the people joining this project are here for some good old epic fights and fun. For this reason I think, that everybody should have to have the possiblity to join the currently weaker faction and mosh to their heart's contents!

Now DEV u can see how many X-Realmer do u have they all say NO =)

then when log outtimer active, they cant Switch when chaos take a Zone =)

this lockout should just hit characters with certain levels. it would be too rough if someone who got wiped in T4 and can't log on another char to play T1 or T2. maybe integrate a tracker which can see which char was played for the last 1 hour and lock its level on the other fraction.

xrealming just kills ongoing rvr fights (looking at caledor just a few hours).

Caledor when the Destro keep fell. 300 in RvR. 53% Order=157, 47% Destro=139

Also note, mid tier population dropped significantly while the server total increased. That's a lot of new bodies joining the fight, not a clear case of xrealming where the numbers would stay the same, but percentages flip-flop.

just recognzied that order got 40-60% AAO after both keeps went blue and weren't able to get all 4 BOs

Upon logging or whatever give every individual IP a choice:

1. accept bunch of hours realm lockout and get 'realm pride' bonus of some kind.
2. xrealm within a bunch of hours and get 'traitors reward' nerf of some kind.

bonus/nerf of amounts small enough it can be accepted on a regular basis, ie numbers like '10%' or smaller.
