As far as I remember on official server there were couple of SW's that learned how to nullify their weaknesses as best as possible and amplify their strenghts to utmost performance.... that glass arrow hitting ppl for 4k+ dmg ;)... wait till ye get yer t4 gear and skills.

I would need some help to enhance my gameplay with my SW because so far I feel that I do better dmg with my... AM XD
There must be something wrong with my rotation, although I changed it multiple times..
I am skirmish specced. I cast the two dots / VON / Take down / EyeShot / SFA + Flanking Shot if correctly positionned or Barrage / SFA spam / SA / RF
I hit 900+ in BS, and run Masterful Aim, Keen Arrowheads, Powerful Draw.
I'm thinking about giving up Flanking Shot and putting some points in Scout in order to have Glass Arrow instead (instant cast with no position requirement)

I completely dismissed the idea of focusing DoKs (except if they're melee and that I can kite them), but all in all a healing class is always a nightmare for me. Some Marauders as well. And in 1vs1 there is no chance for me to kill a SH with their range disarm.

Lately I specced some toughness RA, I die less often, but do not kill more ^^ So now in RA it's BS + toughness.

I'm full devastator geared though I miss some BS talis (but as I'm soft capped...)

I assume I must be very bad and that it's a L2P issue but I would enjoy some kind advices ^^

It's not about SW being weak - it's about AM being OP.

Renown: I go 30pts crit, and 10pts somewhere else, Cleansing Wind/Resolute/Wounds are my usual 10pts goto

I recommend EyeShot/Takedown as first in rotation, as its good cover for Broad+Shadow(The harder for a healer to get to the healdebuff in a focus targetting group the better). SFA is your filler till enemy is lower enough for Barrage/FlankingShot.
Steady Aim is only really useful for making DoTs Crit while you can't see them (great for keeps) or they're running away and out of range. It removes all your mobile DPS for 6 Seconds.
Rapid Fire is only a good skill on an unguarded target if you have Morale2+VoN+Steady Aim, or instant ticking the first damage. Crits for like 400dmg each time then.

Tactics: Masterful Aim is alright, but Instinctive Aim is better. Keen Arrowheads is an awful tactic, and you are just better off recasting DoTs when they time out. Powerful draw is a good choice. If you have good positioning Bulleye is crazy OP, giving 20% crit which has 100% uptime.

Targeting: Anything without a guard or armour stacked dok. Look for the squishies/unguarded/foccusedoffensive tanks, you can punish them really hard.
Always look out for detaunts being thrown at you. Unless you got a group focussing them down, don't really bother, unless you know your damage can bring them down.

1v1 on SH, RKD->Broad->Shadow->Switch Assault-> VoN/SFA. Also detaunt the pet asap.
VoN uses no gcd, can be used anytime during Rotations.
Remember Scout stance @35 for the Silence.
It's OK to switch from Skirmish to Assault when the melee is coming. Bind all DoTs/SFA and the disarm/interupt. Detaunt, Punt, Disarm are the main tools to stop the mdps. The DPS in Assault is still really good.
Use Morale 1 cleanse, its better to be alive, than to be dead :P

Thank you very much for your contribution, I have tried this rotation if a few scs and it works better.
Seems that KA was a laziness tactic ^^
However I'm not fond of tacticts who somehow nerf defense such as Bull's Eyes and Instinctive Aim.
Won't be running them while roaming solo (I usually wear 3 duelist pieces in order to boost thoughness).
With this new RA breakdown I hit 800 BS with potion. Hope this is enough... I still miss some BS talis though, so with some time I'll be able to up BS.

instinctive aim is all kinds of awesome
with it and your balli tactic you can easily softcap balli and focus renown and talismans on weapon skill to reach serious amounts of armor pen

dont think id use bulls eye tho, theres enough ways to get crit, via stacking the stat, or debuffing init

SW - Experiment

Although I wouldn't say that SW is literally weak I find the class to lack real pressure to actually threaten someone.

I've been into mdps for ages but recently rolled a SW on RoR (never had one on live) and I enjoy it to some extent with skirmish spec. It also takes quite a few buttons to play to the class which is fun but it doesn't feel like a threat.

I also got a WL (never played before RoR) and he's a few levels behind SW in terms of everything but his burst damage is sick with bonus crit damage and that AA speed increase. I even feel like a 2h IB with some grudges has more firepower to kill stuff fast.

The most fun part about playing SW so far is that it takes effort to perform well imo. And i've never tried festerbombing.

1 vs 1 , a SH will disarm you with pet while using run away.
Simple tactic but always works
Against a stabbie SH, unless you killed his gas squig in time, you are dead.

SW is not weak, but the changes in the Skirmisher tree have future consequences that should be analised further (and will I suppose) :

- indeed the debuff heal was accessible too soon (lvl21).
- getting Flanking Shot to 13pts, makes the skirmisher tree look like the SH Quik'shooting Tree, except Barrage is a useless skill and cannot be compared to Run Away!
- end game, it will not be possible to play Assault/Skirmisher as it was in live : (good ? bad ? I don't know)
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=sw; ... ;;0:0:0:0:
- Assault tree : only the stun is relevant, some tactics, and Stacking mastery point for damage increase.

I hope there will be some constructive threads on this, when the balance forum starts.
