Thanks in advance ma boys
i talk to you as Witch Hunter. Today in scenario a IB guarded me. I ased him to folow me. he did it. We WREAKED enemy healers like never seen before. 50% heal debuff+a 2handed dwarf hammering your head are something you should not understimate. Ofc requires time and practice, but definetly i believe IB is a good tank! ofc he has not the auras of the KOTBS but well, hammertime!!!

Knights are awesome with their auras and **** in groups, core class and can't be rivaled for sure, but as a duo IB is superior.
Better damage output, peer and self buffs, great AoE and of course Hammertime.

I always duo with a white lion. I run 2h but we are getting destroyed t4 at rr 25 due to no scen pops while leveling. I would like to switch to snb to defend better. Am I better off all offense still or utility? Is there an actual dps build for SnB?

Beardypete,

you can't have a "dps" build with snb, but you can still defend youself with enough dmg to kill anyone 1v1 exept dok i guess

Just max RR with block + block mastery to reach at least 25%
Then full strengh talis and strengh RR with also dodge / disrupt
That way u can block enought to be tanky with decent dmg, and your Duo won't melt neither as far as he 's not focused by a 6 men premade.

With 2H, full parry / dodge would do the job as well but you'll need more touhgness i think.

Quick question: what classes should, and should I not, be able to kill 1v1 as 2h Ironbreaker? I know, 1v1 balance is non-existent, and I'm also relatively bad at being an Ironbreaker (shame upon my house and so on) but I feel relatively competent killing all melee dps, as well as Black Orcs and any rdps that manages to get stuck near me without an escape (AP pot+flee only takes me so far, literally).

However, recently got absolutely dumpstered in duels by Knights of the Blazing Sun, and lost a 1v1 to a Chosen, and I find myself questioning my purpose in life ;) The Kotbs one isn't that pressing, since it was obviously just duels for funsies, but I got stomped so hard (health bar barely moved on them) that I was wondering what I'm doing wrong. The Chosen one was way closer, but I tend not to have problems killing them so I was surprised I even got below 50% hp, let alone died to one.

For reference, I've about 550 Str/Toughness unbuffed, 716 wounds, 27% parry, and 4k armor. My gear isn't the best but it does me well usually. I was under the impression that Ironbreaker is one of the better tanks for 1v1, but perhaps my perception is clouded by all the old Jvirus videos I watch :p

What's the minimum RR required to atleast be worth a party slot at tier 4? I want to get there asap to play with friends, but would rather not hamstring myself.

A lot of people say dps Ib doesn't work. I agree that your are not a dps, but you can do some nice spike.

Brotherhood has some nice skills and doing a S&B spec as brotherhood / vengeance as some serious advantages if you run a higher STR setup.

With 650-700 str, which can be ease to get with the right set bonuses, tali's, and buffs you can spike hard on a taunted earthshatter and with a few points in vengeance rune-edged axe can hit hard as well full grudge. You do not have the output of a 2h but you keep a lot of spike, that you can use to burst with a friendly. It also means skills like punishing blow hurt a lot on a squishy WE / SH or healer like shaman / zealot.

A 1.2k earthshatter with 7-800 rea can do a lot in 2 gcds if you are dropping them with a SL / WL.

You are still plenty tanky with good toughness, and decent block / parry and dodge / disrupt with the right renown build around RR40-45.
