Or some way to get rid of the rested XP boost if someone doesn't want to XP up to the top tier as quick as possible. It's hard enough to fill influence bars already.

Agreed. I don't see how leveling was slow to begin with, pick up the t3-t2-t1 kill quests = great xp.

Renork, all you do is play in T1. Some people like to play in T3 as well and want to get there faster. This helps mostly people with alts. Those that play everyday on their mains will be least effected as they will use up their resting experience as soon as they get it.

The unavoidable rested XP makes the get to the top tier as quick as possible playstyle mandatory. It is true, there are people who want to do that,
but did anyone here even imply that they shouldn't be able to? All we ask for is a way to opt out of the rested XP boost so we can get the influence rewards in the lower tiers (and a better renown-to-XP rate), not to remove the boost from the game completely. This will not affect the playstyle you speak of at all.

It doesn't take long to level in ROR, it's actually quite fast. But you wouldn't know that because you lack reading skills and forgot to read the rest of my previous post.

It seems that is happening a lot now regardless of the mechanics. It was the same way on live. Order zerged during a certain time of the day, then Destro would do the same thing hours later.
To me, the question has always been, "What incentive do you give to defend a keep?" Against a zerg, you will get a 6-man running around collecting kills in AAO, but they aren't defending the keep. Or they will queue scenarios because they know the other side is populated.
It would be interesting to see what ideas could come about answering that question. Maybe the answer will be whenever PQs are working and you can award gear from defending the keep. Or maybe you can create a quest line that will create an incentive to actually defend and keep people in the lakes.

it doesnt matter what is the initiative to defend while you got beacon on your head when comming even close to the zerg. Add not working posterns that limit all stategies for zerg splitting and bugged gimmiks as rift and magnet and you know why ppl didnt even bother.
Cos you beat the zerg with premade groups that can farm it. The thing is that at ror you miss some of the most important elements to do so. And that is why premade groups barely care or if they care they are part of the counter zerg
