Why are watrior priests amazing healers?

EDIT: If wp's are "melee healers and supposed to be tough like that" why the hell do they sit back with a book and spam heals like some non-melee rp or am?

Because it's incredibly easier while being just as - if not more - effective than wading into melee.

Guess what... 1v1... doesnt matter in WAR/RoR.

This is my major problem with AM/Shaman, they are okay healers, but due to inability to cleanse Sorcs, will always take a back seat. it's practically impossible to play them as hybrid healer, and their DPS makes them the best class solo roaming fighting other solo roamers...otherwise their DPS is a waste of a spot in a SC and mediocre in ORvR.

DPS AM balance is counter intuitive, you have a mediocre class that is amazing at a facet of the game which is ultimately un-important (1v1), You cant buff their damage to make them more viable for DPS because of the solo play, you can't nerf their damage because all the 1v1 solo-roamers get upset despite the fact that if they have nothing else to offer their realm. Not only this but because of this tainted play-style they ruin serious buff discussions to the class.

AM 1v1 1337ness shouldn't be allowed to continue cause it conditions AMs that they in fact special snowflakes and viable DPS for anything other than 1v1.

TL;DR The DPS AM is a professional Rochambeau player, this shouldn't be a thing.

If WP/Dok uses a book or chalice, the range on his group heals should be reduced.

What do you guys think about that?

id rather see their armor reduced to light if they put a book on than a range reduce

make gheal count as 1 heal only on you when calculating the procs from different tactics. It is ridicules that you got almost guarantee proc from 1 gheal while healing 6 ppl. That make ST healing subpar

also range of all heals to 75 or so is imo pretty logical since dok/wp are suppose to be frontline healers. So make them stay at front line since they got tons of tools to manage that

What if you GREATLY reduce their base damage but give them a tactic that GREATLY increases their damage when equiped, at the same time GREATLY reducing their healing abilities? Effectively turning them in what they all desire so much - a regular rdps.
