Yeah it's true but I think that people would prefer to wear good set than using it only as a appearance =)
I'm sure they do. But, let's say Obliterator is added, but the stats of it are inferior to Sentry gear. We're all used to the same "calamitous" armor look. Obliterator set for example had diff item models :D
In conclusion: regardless of stats, RvR sets will always serve well as appearance :)

If we're leaning towards a full PvP game largely ignoring PvE and dungeons, I could see using the old PvE sets as pieces to rework, rebalance, plug renown requirements into, and introduce as medallion gear to fill in some of the gear gaps in T3/T4. Green vendor gear for gold/silver, and then the significantly better set gear with medallions/emblems as an upgrade path for each set of levels. Or add some of the PvE sets to Emblem/SC gear vendors so you could have RvR and SC gear available to serve those subsets of the player population. Pretty sure that's all possible, it's just the willingness to get it done.

That would be so nice, especially because some of the PvE gear for healers has actual heal stats, like Sentinel gear while Conqueror has the offensive stat on it. ;)

Good thinking. But set for medallion can't be weaker than for emblems for example.. for medallions - Devastator ; for emblems - other RvR/PVE set who is good as Devastator one. But to add other sets for emblems then SC rewarding rules need to change.. more often emblems dropping. Winning SC - 3 emblems reward ; Lost SC - 1 emblem rewards

Anihilator/conq/invader/warlord and sov - t4

The good thing about the old pvp armor requirements in the lower tiers was that pve was actually somewhat meaningful as you could mix some pve armor with your pvp armor and gain something, where as the old times of war the armor was so outdated it had like half the armor and stat values of pvp armor of the same level.
In T2 there was two sets. Obliterator and Devastator. Sorry but if devs would add only Obliterator then people will be more mad than happy. Let's stay on Devastor and don't add only a Obli set who is even worse than RVR inf rewards :D
Greetings.
I think devastator was somewhere around r26 or so and t2 was for 12-21 I think. so nope, there was only 1 rvr set for t2

Well we are Rank 26 so we should be able to use the full set.

Here's the info from where I got it...

Don't know how I should put it but this is how it should be but it is not like it was at release of WAR. The linked rank requirements are of a newer original WAR version.

Anyway if set will be added it should be Devastator. I don't think so that people would buy Obliterator who is for 16-20 level and are worse than RvR Inf Rewards. Obli ofc can be added but I think that people would buy it only as a appearance or complete this set in Knowledge.
Greetings :)
