Good point is that devs knows WL need some "tweaks " . Take your time and make the best choices for the sake of community.
Just because someone whined on the forum and a dev replied with "i plan to change it" does not actually mean WL needs some tweaks.
Pretty much. Short of changing the pet stats a bit (for all pets), the class is perfectly fine as a ST DPS (case in point:
noone complains about WL in environments that involve tanks and heals), so it would be a shame to make changes to facilitate to solo/unorganised environments just because people have a tendency to whine incessantly about them in said environment (usually the same people who don't have any pots equipped, expecting to survive toe-to-toe with 2k- armor and 200 toughness).

On live you could kite WL around. The pet was slow and pounce landed behind you and if they didnt have charge up you were ok. Thats why their huge burst wasnt an issue on live.

Maybe reduce the cooldown of coordinated strike and halve the dmg or so, then it could be used more often and it would be more sustained burst instead of every 10 seconds if that works.

As i mentioned on that Pull thread, the pet could also be easily CCd with AoE skills (roots, punts, stagger) but i believe they were made immune on a RoR patch? I know i stopped trying to CC them that way a long time ago. IIRC you had to target them in order for them to be affected by AoE CC, no clue how it is atm.

That's not true: TB **** over WL pretty hugely, everyone and their grandmothers had access to OP absorb pocket items, and armor values were much, much higher on live (armor debuff value remained the same) - that's why WL burst wasn't so much of an issue in the later stages of live.

I plan on touching WL. Change has been asked for.
Their gimmick is junk. Being able to burst down a target in moments followed by long periods of uselessness has always been a problem for the class. Not looking to rebuild the class like prior attempts, just moving pieces into sensible places. There can be a satisfying middle ground for players and victims alike.
If you have thoughts, use the balance forum for proposals.
Their “gimmick” works fine in organised environments, if anything it’s a bit too easy to shutdown WL damage by killing the pet in 2-3 GCDs.
Aren’t we supposed to ignore solo play in regards to balance discussion? I mean, I’m not sure which environment you are pulling these conclusions from but that’s what I’m getting from this.

Constant 3-4 second kills, detaunt just postpones the inevitable..
This isn't my opinion, this is facts based on constantly repeating experiences from
rvr encounters, and not just from me.
4 second kill.
3 second kill.
4 second kill.
4 second kill.
This isn't just an opinion. White Lions burstdamage is far too high,
and even if you successfully detaunt the player and try killing the pet,
you're not going to kill the pet in the 5second duration.
White Lion's pretty much kills AT WILL at their current state, with their highest-ingame armordebuff,
combined with their insane burst, they can open up tanks like a sodacan of freenown.
And for anyone saying that WL's is only strong solo and not a group-class..
Is this really working as intended ?.
Stop whine.
Watch some Jono magus plays [among others magus vs wl + sm +am].
L2play.

I think balance in group play is supposed to take priority. I dont think that means you ignore solo play.
But I find threads started by people who do nothing but whine suspect. Try to solve your issues in game instead of crying on the forums maybe?

Perhaps ignore is too strong. “Evidence” posted which shows someone dying 1v1 to a WL should not be considered relevant nor should it be used in any way to purport balance change on said class. I just find it strange they would use this thread of all places to announce incoming WL nerf.
“Changes have been asked for.”
By whom and what evidence did they show? I think this is worth considering first before making any changes.
