Defenders should get rewards, and the zone should be locked in the defender's favour if they successfully defend several times. I think this could be resolved if a rule to require all BOs to be capped before a ram can damage the door or spawned. Therefore the attackers must able to dominate the zone before they can attack with the ram. The main part of the battle should be over obtaining control of all BOs. Therefore the attackers will have to hunt down the defenders and keep them away from the BOs.
This actually promotes defenders abandoning keep and zerghold 1 BO. Perhaps hold all BO's for a few mins then they're locked and ram can be spawned, but i already see Benny Hill zerg chasing.

Raggaz wrote: Wed Jul 18, 2018 6:46 pm Today in praag was a good example of how things are. Hardly anyone defending BOs.

WBs running around, avoiding each other, trying to gank whoever they can. Even if its 5:1 odds.
Wbs hiding in dumb places just to catch another WB off guard and roll over them..

These are not fights, this is not PvP. Its crap. There is no point to sit on Bos when no one else does. Then you say its a player problem.
No its a game design problem, when the game allows this kind of pointless behavior that has nothing to do with progressing the zone. Its like a form of exploiting, your not actually doing anything, just running around, sneaking, playing like trash. Not helping the zone at all.

The change you propose to BOs will do nothing. 2 minutes is nothing. And 1 person still has to sit there.. Here comes the wb..
Its like no thought goes into this, its not that difficult to figure out.

why does 5:1 zerg do zerg ?
what's best PvP in this case ?
I'm curious about your opinion.

The issue is that BOs don't provide any meaningful reward for holding them. A small trick of 15-25renown and an officers medal every now and again isn't a strong enough reason for me and my group to sit on a BO.

The only time BOs are worth something is the start of a zone, when trying to get enough stars for a ram, and then end of a zone, when you need 3/4 BOs or maybe if you are going for a 5* keep.
Midgame BOs are dead weight.

Thats the truth tho.
Last night in TM same story.
1 full order blob running around afking and hiding on empty BO's
Destru doing the same but with less numbers and just plainsimple circling around each other.
There was 0 engagement from both sides the whole zone.

Same story in sc's btw.
Its a 100% pve game now sadly.

the playerbase must change the mind what is important in the rvr and not going the "easy mode", but that is the problem, the most players doing the easy mode, and that is sad,

You can't expect people not to take the easy way out though, so discussions about how to incentivize pvp engagements in rvr are very valid. You can't just change human nature.

Why bother. If people want to have no fun, let them. It's their time they waste.

Yes that is what I mean. At the moment the wb caps 1 BO and then asks for 2nd wb to cap another. All BOs should be required before siege starts. Also if the BO stays held (not locked) for 3 minutes unguarded will promote more movement and less AFK BO. Benny Hill zerg chasing sounds fun tho. The peak of the battle should be when the BOs are capped. Open battles are more fun IMHO.
I love this game and the server community. Thank you to the RoR staff.

Spend like 3 minutes thinking why above is bad idea in case both realms are even and let us know. It's not hard, really.
