alot of people claim that it is spammable but 25 % chance every third second with a cost of 55 AP how diffrent is that from marauders Crushing blows, if WB specced they are most likely going to be in "gift of monstrosity" using demolition (30AP), concussive jolt (30AP) , wrecking ball (30 ap/sec). so comparing the two, marauders already have more utility to get the morale drain off than a SM has.

This sounds like a resonable suggestion now. Taking into consideration that this AoE ability does need a lot of AP and can still be blocked/parried I think it's now just a numbers game what is too strong/weak for a moral drain. This certainly would work as a replacement to the current ability I'd say.
However I still think moral drain is something that could bring wh/we into warbands while SM fits in quite okay already.
