Cant't win, won't play
Re: Cant't win, won't play
A few people here already wrote some of these, but it's worth repeating: when you reach the T4 rank range, you should get some PvE gear that'll give you at least a fighting chance in T4 scenarios. The easiest is Ruin armour set, T4 epic weapons and the Beastlord set if the quests are available. You will get a few more ranks in the process too, up to around 36-38.

1. You dont Need to add a second Pug SC, where you can only QQ solo... If People want to get in same SC, they will do it mostly. Sometimes you will have 6 man of same guild sitting in Pug SC. Then just tap the BO's if you can (Gates of Ekrund, Factory etc), and try to get some points. Next SC you have luck and only 4 ppl of the same guild are against you in SC because 1 doubleteam get's into another SC. (which is still hard when you talk about heal+tank rr60+ and DD's 75+)
But dont attack them 10 times the same way, and dont start crying in SC, AD ,T4, /3, /6 and all other chat's i see ppl puke out their trashtalk about the last SC. Try to Win the SC, not to kill the enemies.
Play smart, IF you are a solo Slayer just try hangout with one of your healers and protect him, as good as you can.
2. Specialy in Pug Sc's dont trust your healers and tanks, if you have guard, most of the time they just pushed the wrong button. And even if they didnt, they think Guardrange is something you can order at KFC.
And most healers have more deaths in SC, then 1k heal.
I dont want to start the way, "if you want heal Play a healer." Just buy (or creat) armor and toughnesss pots. Use healpots! green healing elixir gives you back 3600 life and with another cooldown a cheap 1500 or 1800 instant heal pot.
(Atleast this are moore green colours than most Pug healers see in 10 minuts... (Yes i dont like healers
))
there is no Need to spend your renown points in crit and strenght... you wont deal any damage when you are dead.
3. There is no entitlement for Order or Destro... If you win 50% of the Pug SC's, it was a good evening

Generaly the friendly nature of passionate fans is what makes me play this game. especialy compared to the toxicity of other communities. low playerbase isn't always a bad thing.GodlessCrom wrote:It still does cater to various playstyles. There is a pug SC. There are people solo roaming in lakes. There are people doing six mans in lakes and SCs. There are people doing warbands. All forms of gameplay still alive. Six man vs other six man is kinda dead but we have relatively low playerbase compared to literally every other competitive game in existence, so it is to be expected. Highest barrier to entry in the game, and therefore lowest participation.
However this thread has shown we still have our fair share of toxic trolls.

Premades aren't the problem here, it's the people who refuse to join a guild either because:
a) they don't have enough time for a guild (even though there are less "hardcore" guilds which you could join)
or
b) they are too shy to do it. Gamers have the stereotype of a shy loner for a reason. Most of us aren't so outgoing and joining a guild might be "too much".
Those people don't know what they're missing out. Playing with a guild makes the game 10 times more fun, because it's not just about "stomping those pug nubies" but instead you're part of a community of friends with a common goal. People won't be as thick as thieves in every guild but if you find the right one then you might find few friends for a lifetime.

Re: Cant't win, won't play
Didn't a GM in this thread say you should report people you see queuing like this so they can be banned? People bypassing group queues, or more than 6 people queueing at a time by simultaneously queuing because they know not that many people queue, so they're almost guaranteed to all get in the same SC, which turns them into a 7+ premade?witchdoctor wrote:1. Wasn't refering to that, no problem with folks not agreeing with me.Manatikik wrote:People disagreeing with you because you suicide isn't being a toxic nor a troll...Fallenkezef wrote:Generaly the friendly nature of passionate fans is what makes me play this game. especialy compared to the toxicity of other communities. low playerbase isn't always a bad thing.GodlessCrom wrote:It still does cater to various playstyles. I don't see anyone dissuading anyone from pvp, what I see is a bunch of people wanting to retain pug farming instead of realizing that the only thing they achieve is DISSUADING players from signing up to SC's all together. The game was never intended to be played by the few no-lifers but rather by both hardcore and casual players. There should be options to allow both play stiles to enjoy WAR without hindering eachother. I do not find amusing rofl stomping keyboard turning clickers with a 6 man bombing squad, it is boring and lacks competition.
More options is always better, giving players the option to choose whether they want to be farmed by premades or not is a healthy and lasting procedure. I repeat what I've been saying since the server crashed: Try separating solo sign ups from group sign ups for a week and than lets talk again.
No one wants to stop premades from fighting each other, the argument is against premades farming pugs ''cuz purple rain''.
The fact that certain premades keep putting their foot down wanting to retain pug farming its a clear display of the quality of said premades.

Re: Cant't win, won't play
Funny, then, that you should advocate prohibiting premades from joining scenarios, ain't it?Fallenkezef wrote:I've always taken issue with that whole "play as intended" line.peterthepan3 wrote:Hardkoar wrote:That's precisely the thing, there is a tiny, very minuscule player base that comes to the forum and talks about how important premades are. The rest of the population wouldn't miss them for a millisecond.
Try it out for one week, give the option to Queue separately and Premades, and watch as one of the two gets 2-5 pops a day. We both know exactly which one.
So we should further dissuade people from playing the game as intended just to appease players who insist on playing like Mickey Mouse and Daffy Duck? You obviously don't give a crap about the calibre of PvP in this game, do ya? =D
Played from the start of live, was always a game that catered to various playstyles.
Grouping/warbanding it up is playing the game as it was intended. There are a plethora of things in the game that point to this. It's incredibly obvious.
At the end of the day...you can AVOID BEING FARMED BY PREMADES BY QUEUING FOR THE PUG SC. it is that simple. But when you call for punitive measures against groups for the 'crime' of playing together in scenarios, that does nothing but expose you as the egotistical solo player you are.
People group up for fun and, yes, to maximise their chances of winning. Why should that be discouraged/spit upon because players such as yourself insist on being a solo player in an MMO? Ain't there FPS and RTS games for that kinda mentality?
Protip:whenever you attribute 'farming premades/elitism/the 1%' with people forming a 6man, it gives the game away and reveals your bias. If you honestly think forming a group in Warhammer Online equates to elitism, then you have never experienced elitism.

There is a similar problem on other games, world of warships is one known for the toxic "hardcore" v "casual" argument.Hardkoar wrote:peterthepan3 wrote: So we should further dissuade people from playing the game as intended

It's a fascinating pyschological effect in which the "hardcore" despise the "casual" but rely on them for farming and stat padding.
