I admire Aza's patience.
Well this barrel always did crazy amounts of heal if the enemy had fluff aoe dmg around especially here in RoR where it not only heals the grp (is that right I thought I heard that somewhere^^). CoC actually had a DPS buff which also means you got a lifetap heal buff. Normally you outperform engis heavilly using the barrel. On some occations however (long sc's with nearly any meele on both sides and aoe fluff flying around) they can heal some crazy amounts. On CoV you currently outperfrom any healer atleast that happend with my group today when I runned it (don't really like TE spam so I only run it when needed or for testing).Raelag wrote:Nice Change now dps dok do les healling then Engenear who stay and tank in face dok and win(Engenear is rdps not a tank and tons of CC he have..........)
Khaine save dps Dok from Abyss
In the situation that I have described. if you only use torture skills with 25%damage. The fight ends as it began.Azarael wrote:.ex DPS DoK in Celerity is the same as previous DPS DoK in Celerity, except with 10s drain of 5 SE per second when using a Torture skill, and damage of Torture skills increases with Soul Essence up to 25%. Please explain how you are being facetanked.
If you're going to whine, at least know what the hell you're talking about, because nothing annoys me more than ignorance. Thanks.
A-****-men to this.Azarael wrote: This assumes that I didn't outright say that there would be broken interim states. I never once came out and said "As a result of my experimental changes, there will be no problems." I said repeatedly there would be imbalance states, as larger problems get focused on first, and I used the analogy of breaking up one side of Rubik's Cube to illustrate it. Yes, there are revealed problems - proc meta, Covenant of Celerity clearly being mandatory, etc. But what happens if you install highly conservative players (the ones who tend to be more knowledgeable?) They protect their own interests. To avoid any kind of short-term disruption, they veto everything you do, and move in the direction of tiny tweaks (if they move at all) to one spec which they will consider dominant, which preserves the general meta without allowing underlying problems to be fixed, because they won't create any kind of disruption that threatens themselves and they are absolutely terrified of entering any kind of transition state.
If we had balance changes dictated by top players, Engi/Magus range would never have happened, WP/DoK would never be anything other than a backline healbot, Skavenslayer would be allowed to do everything because Shatter Limbs was a meta attack and KotBS/Chosen auras would be allowed to exist in their current form for eternity. Anyone who wanted to play any kind of spec without an established viability in AoR 1.4.8 would be left to twist in the wind, because trying to make new concepts and off-specs work is not what they're about.
