What are you guys even arguing about? From an outsider's perspective, this is hilarious to the point of which I don't even want to lock this topic.

For what it's worth, I played wow from 2004 to 2012. I obviously loved playing it to have done it that long. If both games were released at the same time I think the world would still be playing war today with upgraded graphics... but it didnt turn out. People like what they are used to in games, and do not like change. It's the same problem I have with heroes of the storm. I like it, but I cant stop wishing it was more like dota 2. I got used to dota 2 first.
No sir that picture is not from Vanilla WoW. That is a Alpha picture you're seriously stupid.

You have zero clue what you're talking about so please stop posting. You've gone so far down the hole at this point that your fellow Warhammer online fanboys are probably thinking wtf is this kid doing.
I'm done posting. I have given facts and proof. You can deny. It's your right as a human. I'm no longer concerned with your opinion, and could care less for your immaturity in a debate. I am going to go back to playing. I suggest you do the same with WoW. Good day sir.

Please for god sakes lock it. This guy is linking 1999 screen shots of WoW trying to pass them off as 2004. Save me from his idiocy.

You literally have not linked a single thing of proof lmao. 1999 alpha screenshot isn't proof.

Your lack of googling skills is scary. I understand now why we need labels on everything.

Keep it cool in here, guys!
Obviously it's a matter of which Art Style you like more. Cartoony-looking textures Age much better than more realistic ones. Also wow got a lot of improvements going on over the years, while a lot of places in war still looks like they never even finished the Terrain. None the less, the texture quality over all is of course better than Vanilla wow. You can see the 4 years difference on Models and textures. Ofc some of them have flaws, hell some of them are even called "placeholder", cause they never finished them. I could Upload some Screens, but it looks like this conversations is already too screwed, and not about the graphics anymore.

he posted this

It just looks like he is playing the game on lowest settings with some weird filter that makes the game somehow look even worse. Then is complaining that the game looks bad, then it devolved into WoW vs WAR somehow. And then people are using the updated WoW engine/textures that came out recently as a comparison for WAR which never got that treatment.

As far as graphics go WAR is technically better, it came out after anyways. Artstyle wise I think WoW endears a bit better than WAR. One of the biggest complaints a lot of randos that came from /vg/ was the graphics of this game where pretty dated, proper settings and 3rd party programs can make it look considerably better.

Not even a matter of opinion.

Fact is Vanilla WoW had Finished textures they were not muddy as hell all over and aged way better. The only thing you can even call better about Warhammer is the player models and even then it's pretty mehhhh when you actually look at them.

Warhammer has garbage textures all over the place and there is no denying it. Warhammer is the most fun ugly ass game I've ever played. Hell, when Warhammer launched one of the big complaints was how ugly it was next to the crazy amount of bugs.

You don't have to agree but just walking around Warhammer world you can see how awful it looks in a overwhelming majority of areas.
