Forcing ppl to play scenarios when they dont want to, just to get BIS should be removed from the game entirely.
Since that's your position, i'm going to assume you can fully understand the reverse opinion.
RVR is for zerging clowns, that can't actually play their class properly, and rely on weight of numbers to accomplish even the simplest of tasks. But that's okay cause it's just a time killer until the zone flip, and people start queuing for SC's again.

I enjoy WAR because it's a great PVP game, with excellent PVP mechanics. I enjoy utilizing those mechanics as often as possible, sc's are a great way to have constant action. Forcing people to play RVR when they don't want to, just to get BIS should be removed from the game entirely.
The only difference between our statements is mine is truth and yours is some made up bullshit in a failed strawman argument.
He is right though. Some ppl like RvR over SCs, some ppl like SCs over RvR.

Most ppl I know prefer SCs over RvR, as RvR mostly consists of mindless zerging and large scale combat.

I prefer small scale combat. Being forced to do RvR is annoying for me.

I play WAR for the combat mechanics, the lore and the ppl. I don't really care about RvR. RvR is a fun little minigame when SCs are getting boring.

His tone is somewhat interesting but the core points he's making are points that I have made myself in other topics on RvR. The greater the numbers, the less the side effects of skills matter, the more laggy it gets, the more it boils down to greater numbers, cheese (like pull/KD to zerg) and AoE damage/heal spam. If this game didn't have scenarios I wouldn't even log in.

I'd also like to add to anyone who is going to denigrate one aspect of the game over the other (beyond pointing out flaws in that aspect) by making some statement like "WAR is about X, not Y": You're talking crap. You didn't write the game. You didn't design it. You don't get to say what WAR is about. WAR contains both scenarios and ORvR and it is about both.

To me the currency isn't an issue, but I would like to see an increase to renown gain from scenarios.

If there are groups Qing SCs then we get some small scale action in ORVR between SCs. If SCs are not giving enough progression then the easiest way to progress is just join the mega zerg or play in warbands instead of 6 mans. And of course life is always good for zerg surfing ranged dps.

That was my point exactly.

Cmon Az be realistic. Its not an opinion...the sheer quantity of content that is designated to orvr (as oppose to the comparably simple scenario system) indicates that the game is about the orvr. Scs are the side show. It is obvious and simple common sense that this is how it was intended to be. Youre the one talking complete and utter crap here. Its like me saying Hearthstone isnt about Tavern Brawl and you responding saying I couldnt possibly know what the developers intended even though its perfectly obvious what their intentions were.

RvR premade can get plenty more renown than SC premade. AAO and lots of targets.

Then again, WAR is about ToVL and PvE so who cares.

Hello,
I like SC when i cannot play long enough to enter a WB and capture/def some objectives.
I think SC should give at least, much more xp so that if people want to level they can still do some SC (as if they did quests and PQ), and then if they want RR, they'll go in ORvR.
(Or increase both xp and renown, but i think it left orvr empty? )
