Wouldn't it be possible to at least reward the first 3 places in PQs with "parts" of Ruin gear so we can one day achieve the items whilst we're unlucky?
This sums up alot of peoples issues with farming or grinding. Most of the time, it's all or nothing. Feeling like your wasting your time sucks, when you are supposedly playing for fun and enjoyment.
I personally believe that the farm for Ruin gear currently is excessive. How much of this is due to most of the PQs not working however? Most of the playerbase's favorite farming spots don't work atm. There are easier PQs to farm than those open, and some that are far more profitable to run concurrently. But, at the end of the day, full Ruin is still far easier to obtain than any Dark Promise will.
When you are farming for something, you need to know whether the return is worth the investment. Sometimes that 1% or less drop is totally worth the 100+ mobs you're going to have to kill. Sometimes it isn't. But like EVERYTHING in an MMO, if you do it with a group it is A, far easier, and B, much less tedious(depending on group...)

Don't you guys know that grind is fun? You have to work extremely hard for character progression. Can't be handing you things. If it only took a few hours then we'd all be in the same gear and we'd have a more balanced game. Can't have that.

Perhaps it seems to you that way, but i cant confirm this. With my tinkerer keg/rod engie Ive played around 12x PQ. ive got 2x 2ndplace and a gold bag, 4x a lesser bag and 6x nothing-zero-nada. So i wouldnt say i got "most of the gold bags".
And if i may say so, i tried to do my best in those Pqs - and i see a lot of people just staying around and hitting something once in a while. But thats just my subjective impression.

Hello.
I'd like to remind you all that the
PQ system is not complete.. Yes, the grind is insane. And harsh. No one doubts that -at least for tanks-. As a Blorc, it took me 10 days to get a SINGLE drop (1 and a half or so hours farming per day).
The RoR team clearly said in the T4 release thread that many things were going to be reworked on the course of the following months or weeks.
I'm sure this is one of them. What I'm trying to say is,
before asking to change the system, wait for it to be fully complete,. What do we have now? 2 hard PQ's per side? Of course the grind is insane with whole warbands in concentrated spots rolling for a single bag. But once we have 8+ Hard PQ's per side you'll see that the grind is way quicker. It's a matter of waiting. In the meantime, you can get appearance gear

Ruin gear hasn't been that tough for me to get on my Knight, I literally did 6 PQ's and got 4 paces of Ruin. Less people at the PQ higher probability

Well, all the bags I've seen went to either tanks or healers, sometimes a choppa would get it.

Farming ruin gear is super easy. If you are really up for a challenge - try getting new jewelry set.
