1. A quick fix is being deployed to give healers some contribution. The trouble lies in trying to find a way to distinguish between players whom are participating and players whom are just using a macro.

2. On the whole, the goal is just to prevent AFKers from getting rewards for literally no effort. Many core issues with the system overall will remain, and will be addressed in the future.

3. Arguably, most systems in this game give AoE classes almost certain domination. :P
Thanks for the info Geni :D .

Any chance you could provide some insight regarding this,
boog wrote:Can we get a break down of how exactly the contribution works?

I know when I solo'd mobs I got 20 points of contribution. Then a WL came and essentially only got the killing blow after I brought the mob down to 3% and then I only got 9.x points of contribution. Which would lead me to assume that just for landing the DB he got 11 points of contribution which seems ridiculous to me to get over 50% of the points just for landing the DB.
Should I chalk it up to your previous answers?

Well it doesn't matter at all if you roll bad you roll bad no matter how much you contributed. Other way around if you roll good you roll good and then you win. If you roll something close to 1000 you have one golden bag no matter what.

I don't know if this is correct but there are sometimes 23 players and still no golden bag drops.
That can't be correct you could do PQ on live with 6 players and got golden bags this number of bags is way too low I mean who on earth did PQ with 30-40 players on live I certainly never saw that.

This system just encourages aoe mob stealing, not rezzing the others and stop healing them because the only thing you get is less chance to obtain 1 of these bags. Not really sure if this is better than afk'lers

Hey healers just run dmg and then laugh about the others easy mode to get first place with dmg zealot who needs groupplay anyway if you just get ripped by it.

More or less, yes.

I can't give exact numbers, both because I don't know them and because it would give the wrong impression if I did. But generally, objectives are worth a certain amount of contribution - each kill, each GO interacted with, etc. When a player "contributes" to that objective's completion - does damage to a kill mostly, they are entered into a pool. When the objective is done, the pool is divided among all participants based on the degree of their contribution (read: damage done). Healers whom have been healing participants receive a share of the contribution as well.

There's always going to be someone that this shafts, but oh well - we know it's not the best system, as I said. We'll replace it with something better when we're not under the gun to close an exploit. Additionally, the persistence bonus should be in effect if you fail to win a bag.

The problem with the persistence is you lose it if you get any bag but the other bags don't offer anything useful besides gold. I think it would be way better to just reset the buff if you gain a golden bag that way you most certainly gain one after sometime right?

I'm agree with decision but now the problem is I have 2 toon with no gear on them since i've treshed the devastator gear once gone to the 4 ruin i've farmed last 3 days (tanking the elven pq for hours)

Now i cannot go back to t3 to farm devastator (wich took hours) again nor i can go to rvr in t4 naked....(altough i've spent hours farming the pq)

So at least give back old devastator gear plz.
