I was wondering that myself. Honestly, i would link it to skills. For example, if the Zealot has Chaotic Agitation, then he is DPS (i don't know a single heal-spec Zeal that uses CA).

Well, at least I won't feel as though I'm cheating the team out of a healer if I experiment with loldeeps on my zealot. Easy to trick if you're screwed up enough to to want to though.

They could simply slot different tactics while waiting for a SC pop and, once they are in the SC, slot DF back.

It was to attempt to take the guilt off DPS RP/Zealot by allowing them to run DF and know that they counted as DPS for matchmaking purposes. And i completely understand. Unfortunately, some players will go like "hey, i don't get many SC pops while having DF specd... i will slot Discipline and something else... oh instant pop! good, taking SC and slotting Divine Fury back once im in". And you end up having a SC with one healer less than expected.

I would link the check to certain skills (that are always specd in that class DPS spec). AM has heal debuff? He is DPS. Zealot has CA? he is DPS.

I feel conflicted when the developer of a game name calls people and generally puts them down for wanting to play the game how they want to play it.

I probably end up healing 80% of the time in SC's on my Zealot because it's the responsible thing to do, but I'm geared for DPS and specced for DPS and I will gladly DPS if I see an abundance of heals on my team or we seem to not need heals for whatever reason.

Please do not refer to me as a "chucklefuck" just because I enjoy the playstyle. I get DB's too you know

Dread, I think you misunderstood. This change gives a legitimate route for DPS zealots to queue and not disadvantage their team by blocking a healer in the queue. The chucklefuck is someone gaming the queue mechanics to get a faster pop while blocking a healer slot.

Except that's not what I did at all. My post was in reference to people who, knowing the intent of the matchmaker, attempt to fool it by avoiding its conditions (for example, a DPS AM who has no intention of healing removing his gear before queueing so that he will receive a healer's spot). I don't apologise for what I said.
