you wont do tri spec in t4 cos you wont crit anyone as the crit chance of them will be near 0% and with out lotd talismans you should spec heavily into crit to be effective lowering your defensive stats and if you didn't see.. look how many damages go around atm in orvr.

I wont base my anlisys on a scenario situation or small skirmish.

for the moment it does not stack , i'm unhappy about it cos it's just make defense tank badder that what they suppose to be but as long it dosen't get change , togheter with dev armor proc, and i am not sure if it should stack or not i wont bitch about that -> i will play according to that ( i am sure sov one stack but that is a different proc). So mixed defense is not effective if you plan to use defense set as chosen.
Better spec differently in renown and then save 1 tactic unless you really push hard and so you increase just block /parry.
Then yes that proc is always active, cos it proc on "defense" while mixed defense proc on block and is a lot worse with a so low block (even if i up until 30%) on my guard. There are times i do not have it up which happen less with dev proc( mixed defense cannot re-apply, dev proc can indeed).
Of course you will not go on discord in t4 for moral, you will have destinated for victory and base t4 tank moral.

I've been reading this thread and there has been lots of discussion but I still don't know what the best path/build for a tank chosen is.

Does anyone have a full build for rvr/sc tanking? I'm casual for now.

Is the build i'm running 90% of the time.
In scenarios i sometimes change Flawless Armor for Ruggged. But that pretty much only happens if they have tons of dps without crit dmg modifiers like SW or Slayers.
I'm always running Ressist Aura and Toughness Aura.
If group is light on healers i run healing Aura. If i Guard a dps that lacks healbuff. I run Healingdebuff Aura. If oponent run alot of Melee dps i run Str Aura.

the 10% i don't run that build I use this one:

And just coz i go 2hander doesn't mean i stack str on that build. I actually stack even more defensice stats due to loosing the sheild and a defensive tactic,

half the time robin puts up a build its for warband vs warband stuff, this i feel is a better build for small scale play

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=cho ... 781:4791:0:

I dont want to waste a point on a redundant 25% incomming heal when a majority of dps classes can provide a far superior 50% inc HD and i prefer a reliable knockdown for hard CC

i also dont belive in wasting a tactic slot for an rng 300ish dmg block that can easily be broken by any auto attack, i preferer flawless armor or rugged and please get hastend dismissal , the super punt is the best one on destro t

I think I got the build down. Now I would like to know what are the best rotations for a pvp chosen tank?

blast wave--> spam
seeping wouds then snare to avoid ista snare cleanse/or just snare, it depend from the situation
then ravage all the time.
If the target is an am/rune withering blow to remove some ap, it can be nasty on long focus.
At rank 40 add "touch of palsy" for some lol moment and fun with all family

if you spec cripple strike for any reason use cleave to apply it cos is undefitable.
if you go 2h and Cripple strike use rending blade. (dread path)

As i'm moastly pugging on my Chosen and hardly ever do RVR these days
1: I only use Healdebuff if i'm guarding a dps that usually or often don't spec or have healdebuff. Like a Magus, Sorc or dps DoK. I explained this in my post
2: Warped Flesh is the highest dps mitigrating tactic for tanks in the game. the math have been done several times not just by me. it procs by guard dmg, it procs by morale dmg it's far from RNG
3: AoE stagger is the best dps mitigration abillity in the game sure you can get both the knockdown and stagger if you want to. But thats a bit counter productive imo as one adds immunity to the other.
3: The Chosen/Kotbs knockback tactic is imo some of the moast overated tactic in the game. You can do 90% of the knockback tricks without em.

road im almost sure warped flesh is underperforming here on ror and generally absorb in live worked after mitigation so i just stopped to slot warped flesh(no prove but tactic never got removed so fast)

On live i used it as a part of my regen pool it was with sov like 1k every 4 sec, with absorb working pre mitigation it suck; not only that % proc seems off under 25% unless they are aoe/group.
Which make the tactic proc less often vs less ppl.
Atm every abosrb stuff in game suck really bad we should make a pool to ask to get every absorb change to post mitigation when balance thread will be up.

I feel like the other classes absorb is working better. On my tank it just seems to not proc often and very low value.
