After 40 pages, everyone agrees

Well, hopefully once heavily moderated forum is implemented, you'll be the first to provide the proof on that part, even after Az made his point on why that tactic is not a issue.
And why even metion few ppl being surprised on the hastely implemented AM/SH changes? Surely they are just being toxic

This is my personal opinion: The game is in an Alpha state, where basically all of us are (or should be testers). The forum is, obviously, the place where us testers should discuss everything about the game. If people don't care about this and they just treat this as another game where they simply log in, do their thing, and log out without contributing anything to the developers, why should they have a say in the implementation of important changes?

Devs put an insane ammount of their time in this game and they do it for free. If someone wants to get involved in the changes they are making for WAR, can't they spare a few minutes to come, read the balance discussions and make their voices heard?

My opinion : Because some people simply cannot, and its a point that needs to be addressed and fully realized. The language barrier is a real problem for the server, half of the population is probably not comfortable with the English language in regards to both understanding it and writing it, or perhaps have a lack of confidence to attempt it, so why should they be neglected for this?

In regards to people making their voices heard, that is hard as well, most of the time if you are not someone who spends countless hours on the forum, or if somebody thinks you are just not 'well known' enough, your opinion gets shafted by other players, this already happens on the forums.

It may look like it was a rushed change, but actually the skill was 99% unused in the first place and there always was some talk about AM compared to other healers over the last year. That just presented itself as an easy change. And yet i have to see anyone complain about it with real evidence that WP got kicked off its throne as best healer by that (actually not really big) change at all

And I personally despise people for having such an attitude. Literally every school worldwide teaches english and everyone at least understands the basics of it. Even when they do not fluently speak it or have problems, they still have friends who do indeed speak english and can help them. Just because they cannot be arsed to either learn the language (which a lot of people actually just did through online gaming alone) does not mean they should get any priviledge or any extra candy.

You quoted my KotBS-Destroy Confidence example. It was only that: an example. I wasn't talking about the actual thread where that discussion took place. I never said everyone agreed on THAT thread (although only 2 or 3 guys disagreed).

As for Az, he never said that tactic wasn't an issue. Quite the opposite, so please: don't lie. (viewtopic.php?f=75&t=10958&start=110#p112270)

I mentioned people being surprised about the AM/SH changes just to illustrate my point. There was a 40+ pages thread about WP (http://www.returnofreckoning.com/forum/ ... 15&t=10385) and a much smaller one for AM/Sham (http://www.returnofreckoning.com/forum/ ... 6&start=60). Yet when those changes make it to the game and a Patch Notes thread comes up, a few people suddenly appear out of nowhere and are against it. Most of these people never even bothered posting (or possibly reading) in the original threads.

Anyway, as i said: this is just my opinion.

Ade made a good point. Someone who is not that comfortable to fully indulge himself in the constant back and forth forum duels around game balance due to the language barrier would most likely be playing the game and not sitting on the forum. Somehow they are at fault by not commuting fully to the discussions and should be neglected? Not telling to give to pander to them, but most discussions when a new user joins often turn into "duh, scrub, go read that 50+page word-vomit bias diarea in a foreign language before you even post here"
AM/SH change is great btw, but still you have to expect ppl to complain about it and not overreact about their true honest opinions of it, even if they might sound edgy, toxic and sometimes insulting

This won't happen, you can be sure of that. People who do that will be expelled from the balance discussions faster than you can say "lolpenriluarebad".

I understand what you say about those who don't post on the forums. I have to say once again that was only my opinion. In the end, devs might go ahead and do some kind of poll in-game. Only they know for sure.

Remember, just because some people here got a blue name, does not mean they cannot state their own opinions on anything anymore. Especially outside of the balance forum were still normal players. Were just here to see that exactly above mentioned stuff will not happen in the new section - thats it. And while we try to ensure a good readable forum , I personally also expect people to do so and do not even dare to complain afterwards.
