Game Folder -> right click -> properties ->disable read only

Good Evening folks,

I have recently re-downloaded the client to try and join you all in game but I am having a slight issue.

After connecting via my login credentials the game loads (mostly) but when I get to what should be the character selection screen nothing happens. I get the option tabs of cinematic etc at the bottom of the screen but the black box that says 'entering the fray' etc is blank and nothing loads after this initial screen.

I have read through parts of this forum looking for similar issues but I have no error messages, no logs to show. I have disabled the read-only boxes for the folders and their contents and the RoR launcher is beside the WAR.exe in the directory.

If anyone could have a guess at what may be the issue I would greatly appreciate it.

I too am being unlucky. When I try to extract the zipped files I get told ' The same volume cannot be used as both the source and the destination'. I am trying to extract to a new folder. What am I doing wrong?

Hello everyone, I just recently downloaded all 5 parts using the mega downloader, and then unziped them all the tried to run the warpatch.exe like it tells me to do but I end up getting this error... please help me. Thanks!

hello, you have to download our launcher. dont use the war.exe.

DLed the game and launcher, moved the launcher into the warhammer folder. Unchecked read only on the war.exe, rebuilt performance counters both manually and with the download in the sticky.

still getting this error message

Data.myp:
System.Exception: You need to stop application currently using the following file: data.myp
at MYPHandler.MYPHandler.WriteFileToArchive(FileInArchive archFile, MemoryStream MS)
at MYPHandler.MYPHandler.ReplaceFile(FileInArchive archFile, FileStream newFile)
at RoRLauncher.Client.UpdateWarData()

Then it launches what seems to be the normal warhammer client. Any idea how to get past this? Thanks.


EDIT: And of course the second I ask, I figure it out... Unchecking read only on the whole folder, not just war.exe did the trick. So if anyones stuck at that same spot, give that a try

hi all first sory my english its not my native language. i have some problem the start war. i download the rar files and extract the (C:my games) then download ror launcher and paste game folder inside.start return of reckoning its ok game working but i cannot see any char making phase or chose side pls help me

i have downloaded all 10 parts via direct download, and yet when i go to extract using winrar it says: you need to have the following volume to continue extraction: age of reckoning client.zip. Ive looked all over for that and cant seem to find it. Ive tried logging in using ROR launcher and i get this window: http://puu.sh/jTKr3/55ed1e3050.jpg
Any help would be greatly appreciated...really looking forward to playing this game again.

Use a VPN, select the UK server. www.hotspotshield.com is recommended.

@Kuzimo
RoR Launcher needs to be in the same folder as WAR.exe.

If you haven't been able to extract the files yet, you don't have the game. With Winrar I believe you just need to extract the first part and as long as the rest of the pieces are in the same folder it should work.
