People will just tag bos to let their mates defend and get tons of gold and then swap. In live many times I got angry tells from my own side for killing someone when they were flag swapping.

Anything simple with too big a reward will be exploited.
so kill them isn't that what war is all about. If they are flag swapping its because the lakes were so dead they could do it.

Just be patient, when we have inf rewards, pvp armor sets and talis to slot into vendor armor/weapons 99% of mob loot will be worthless.

One of the issues is you have to grind to stay competitive. Many of the pres spend hours grinding and are already in blues and purples as they share gear. You cant expect pugs to compete with pres and it becomes even worse when there is a gear gap. Woe and RS may not seem like a lot but a full pre in them gives the other side zero chance. This was one of the big problems in live that I think was a big factor in the games failure.

But if we all wear the same it takes away the competitive element as well. Time invested has to pay off too.

Not sure if serious, but if so, i would agree with it. Although maybe not remove all gear from mobs; just purple. Purple (the most powerful gear) should be won by RvR.

Maybe not even sell gear from RvR vendors. Just give a random purple piece as a reward for a keep take (currently we get 5 soldier medallions, i wonder if it can be changed).

If you weren't being serious, then don't pay attention to anything i just said :P

What if you cant. What if you pug with people without the gear.

This also pushes those with gear together and alienates those that dont. They also are the ones that mostly need to join good guilds and get help like we saw in the early days of war. My real fear is that instead of the new start I hoped this server would become it will just go back to the clique-y ways that saw all new players just leave and killed off the the last game.

Killing off any form of economy because we can just walk to the vendor to buy the best gear ingame. Leaving the game as nothing more then an empty shell in which you level up and RvR and everything being alike. and missing that feeling of joy when you get that great item ya wanted.
