Ohh ... the destro roll a zone in 20 min zerg was slowed down. What a shame.
Ban a player for thinking on his feet and bringing a new stratagem, a new way to defend, that is completely legal, and in my eyes just AWESOME? So he thought of a new way to use deployable siege, what is the problem?
When artillery no longer has any ammo, and the other faction are on inner, I tow it a tight place and drop it as a barrier. Might as well use it for something. I do this no matter what realm I play. And other players do it too, on destro as well as order. I do not see the problem.
The problem is mentality 'what is not expkicitly forbidden is allowed' without any deeper thought if it is actually working as expected.
Out of interest what is the problem with using cannons and rams which can be destroyed as barricades ?
Sort of adds some other aspects to the game and has some strategic considerations .
The only thing that maybe would make barricades not a good idea is that they can only be placed and moved by their own side. If usable by both sides then it’s clearly a risk /reward thing
The problem is the defenders that already got it much easier than attackers. Also, there is also issue with blocking the lord with siege weapons, whicj directly connects to the 'use siege to shot only'. Ofc we can introduce back the spawn plates from live...

seriously?
have you not seen ram blocking postern?
it's not different.
thing is ppl use this exploit when there is no GM in the game.
making it hard to report.
i guess taking screenshot and report is in order.
if GMs think it's ok, so be it.
we'll find it soon.
counter measure for zerg...
ask 3rd door at the top, that's more reasonable than this bull crap.

Wow, just wow.
When Destro leave siege in lord room or use it to make barricades, no problem. But the minute order uses it, it is a d-bag move. What a great mentality to have on destro side. Like you are entitled to an easy time and a gold bag on every roll.
Using siege to slow down opponent is NOT an exploit. You can not even consider saying it is an exploit. It is nothing more than another obstacle placed before you by your opponents. That is what they have to do. Slow you down. Stop you. That is what the game is about.
Right now, the siege use as obstacles is the ONLY working zerg blocking mechanic available in the game. Especially when you are outnumbered 3 to 1 or 4 to 1. And it doesn't even really change the outcome. The zerg will take the keep, the zerg will kill the lord. The only difference is ... you actually have to play and not just surf the zerg and coast to a green or blue bag roll.

Wow, just wow. When destro (and Order sometimes) did the ram thing we changed code so the rams can't really be exploited that way anymore - that is, left in keep to block people.
It is considered as an exploit, take it as you want. Sieges are supposed to be used only as means to deliver dmg or kill doors.
Also, drop the bias, it's stale.

It actually would be cool with some placeable obstacles/barriers for a defending side being zerged by blob.
Stuff that attackers would need to ”kill” bf moving through.

Barricades spawning with good enough AAO might be funny.

It's amazing that you would even try to convince us such tactics are anything other than exploitative.
