I think the old mechanic was better, because when a guild claims a keep, the players normally defend their property. There where a lot of interesting fights on claimed keeps, rather then zerging empty keeps one after another in the new system.

Maybe the RoR server will have a feature, that shows on the homepage all the lost and conquered standards of a guild (or maybe just the standards lost/conquered through keeps fights).

Yeah, something like his to make Guilds more relevant and proud of their achievements would make RvR more meaningful and be very worthwhile IMO.

Love it beter still let claiming keeps (with standard), holding keeps and ninja standards be only way of leveling guilds

Inviting everyone and everything hardly seems like the obvious way to level a guild into fame

yeah that who claimed whos keep would be a very cool addition,
i dont get gorsrath: how is beeing able to log off cause nothing is happening in the lake better then beeing able to start something in the lakes by yourself if noone can or is willing to do it
i have way more then once started groups by myself that went bigger and bigger just cause i and then we actualy took keeps
in the old system there is simply no reason to be in the lakes besides already having a premade, joining a zerg and well farming rats...

Rats didn't exist in the old version.

Nice days...Win or die trying. No other alternative (ie PvE aoe farming).

as i said earlier: when mythic took away the last guild incentive something of being proud of having ones "own" keep and helping defending it, it ripped the heart out of warhammer.

they always said back then some keep holding will come back sometime, but it never happened.

a lord and guards etc. and a guild claiming a keep (i remember even getting sms when our keep got attacked, to get to the pc and help defend it ^^) did it fair share of "realmpride".

on the other hand: the lord was buggy as hell and offered a lot of exploits when the keep was actually defended.

id still prefer the lord and guards and leveling up the keep from a guild etc. but claiming the
keeep should be done via a flag. Also consistent with the bos.

on letting players again hammer at the keepdors or not, no idea whats more fun ^^
