Spoiler:
Valfaros wrote: Mon Jul 09, 2018 1:45 am Okay first impressions.

Squig leap cool and very useful to get in and out.

Tastes like stuntie great ability and fills the gaps squig had before.

Sneaky strike good dmg and amazing armor buff. Devastating if parried.

Outta my way! Very good to run away not so much to pleeew trough people because they first boddy block you before getting kicked.
Also through sever lag they often get kicked just somewhere and not where I would like to have them get kicked. You know I hoped to play football. Just that the ball kicks the player for once. The frequency of the kick and the sometimes random direction kinda makes this impossible (but I guess it be pretty darn strong if that worked).

DMG: Currently running only 700 str but both dmg increasers (25%+15%) +650 ws and I would say the dmg is okay/maybe a bit underwhelming. You won't burst someone but since it's an aoe spec I guess that's fine.

New Really Bad Gas! Great idea to have a self buff that deals dmg. However I don't think it needs that cast time. It feels clunky and it doesn't do that much dmg that it needs this cast time but it's a nice addition together with big bouncing for aoe.

New Cd Increaser. Worse than the old one but I think it's fine like this

Squig as mount: To me was one of the most important things so I'm very happy it's finally here.

Overall view:
-Constant ap empty however this is not so much a problem when running with a zealot. However it still feels kinda meh but maybe it's just me.
-Many channels while usually not a big problem in this game any little bump or drop off will interrupt you which sucks.
-Single target dmg. Hoped a little bit for more aoe slayer like burst. Autoattack feels super weak/slow compared to other meeles. You know a little bit more kazoong but it's not that bad.
-Armor buff on the pet. Got way better with it 15s cd + half cast time + one the move. Still would have liked it on the squig armor instead but can't have it all right
-Super fun to play a meatball with lots of utility.
Let's see how I feel about these points in a few weeks.
You try running Clever Stabbin tactic for -35% reduced AP costs on stabbity abilities? Helps a ton for longer fights.

catholicism198 wrote: Sun Jul 08, 2018 6:50 pm Who said anything about tanks? We're talking real in game values against players not naked npcs.
and my values was against a conqueror geared player including mitigation into the damage numbers, as I, you know, test things and proivided actual information as opposed to a hyperbolic claim of 20-50 damage without showing what they were fighting or provide full values.

Perhaps explain to me what Im doing that isnt "real in game values" because 270 damage is cetrainly ok for having a mere 625 player str and, as noted, the pet inherits not only str but also weaponskill from the players ballistic level. So fi you choose to go full deftard you arent dialing in stats and the issue is your own. This isnt a Guardian and dont expect it to be.
sorry for disturb but if dont mind a question torque, u said pet share str and ws of the sh, my question is do aswell get the sh critic %?.
Aswell do pet of the sh benefeit from weapon 1-2 or both for dmg. if i recall ong ago, sh pet used to benefeit from both but not sure anymore.

No talisman 625 str squig player, horned squig has 579 str, autoattack is hitting for 277 total

Hey Torq,

I wanted to know if you could help clue me in how you were able to get those numbers for your pet. I have over 800 str and my pet / horned squig only has 400 ish str. IRC I also had 400 ish weapon skill.

Do we think it is possible for the pet damage on get em to get a tweaking? Meaning more damage from the stats of our pets? Player damage is ok, but 150-200 damage from git em on the pet is pretty weak.

Why are people comparing the SH to WL... You cant have everything. Some people want to be a rdps and then when they get attacked become a tank in squig armor but still have their pet hit hard. If the SH in armor becomes as good at the WL why would anyone play the MDPS when they can just make a SH and do the same thing plus come out of armor and defend keeps/ dot enemies.

When people complained the SH did less dmg than the sorc... well obviously... the sorc damages herself. Play a class understanding its pros and cons... you do less dmg but you have better escapes..

That being said, destro didnt really even need another melee champ. Every sc in T1 now is 3 SHs 2 Shammys 3 Bgs and 2 Doks..

Gotta agree, damage seems fine where it is, our pet isn't WL pet and we got way more things going for us than pet DPS.

Like the tooltip says, your horned pet is getting it's str from your ballistic stat from items. Not your ballistic or str from your 2 stat giving tactics, not your stats from potions, not your 120 str from squig armor, and it doesn't care about your WS at all.

Yes Sorcs/BWs do damage themselves but outside of solo play and scs without heals that damage is negligible.
It's why there's been talk about changing their mechanic so those glass cannons feel more like glass cannons.

Sorry. I know how it works. I don't use any of the tactics. This is all raw stats from gear which your pet get everything from. Also, I can't tell if the pet tactic works, he is a big'en it should give str to your pet. But, not if the stats on the pet are working when used.

He's a Biggun' and Sharp Toofs are somewhat confusing/misleading. They both say they increase your Pet's abilities/attacks but your Git EM attacks are increased by Sharp Toofs (in and out of Squig Armour,) while your (small squig) pet benefits only from He's a Biggun'. You'd think He's a Biggun' would also affect you while in Squig Armour, since it's also a "summoned pet."

Here are some numbers against r8/9 mobs:
Pet's damage with and without Sharp Toofs:
Git Em! 146 (In SA) 229
With He's a Biggun':
Get Em! 170 (In SA) 260
r38 mob with/without Biggun'
with 118
without 137
