And that's the problem: They are just "good". For something that costs almost 500 emblems (Around 80 SC wins), I'd expect "the best", not just "good".

Well they also happen to be the best for casters afaik.That was the point when i said good.

The problem comes when you get benefit of the extra dps but casters dont.

You appropriately ignore the facts that:
A) these weapons were designed for r29. We are at r35;
B) inf weapons from rvr don't have their procs implemented, which would significantly alter the balance in regards to what weapon to pick;
C) this is alpha. Things are subject to change. None of this matters in regards to endgame;
D) you ought not "expect" anything from an emulator being worked on by people in their spare time. How audacious a remark.

So in short, we were aware it was a problem a while ago, and we took steps to address it then. If those steps didn't go far enough, that's a fair criticism, and I would be happy to revisit the issue; but I resent the accusation that the costs were set without thought.

I say they were put without though because we already had this very same conversation about the weapon costs, i raised the very same point, it was not feasible to get sc weapons without being purely dedicated to doing scs and even then it was a hassle.

If we take the later changes of lowering the amount needed and raising the amount earned as lessons learned, then we can also take the new duelist set prices as lessons ignored.

Its the very same exact problem, only even worse, its not only not feasible to get the new sets, if you do, you will probably already outlevel them and are better gearing yourself with renown greens for your level.

So you may resent the accusation but i think its pretty merited, the prices of the duelist sets are just hhigh for the sake of "lets not give them for free" without any actual thought on how many emblems a person would have at the rank those sets are any good.

A cursory search through your post history brings up a few posts complaining about Scenario weapon costs in September and October of last year, and nothing really more recent than that until these posts today. Now I'm sure I missed something, because you're a fairly prolific and opinionated poster, but at the time of those posts that I did find:

1. Winning a scenario gave 2 emblems (recently increased from 1!), losing gave 0.
2. The costs of those weapons were much smaller (30 emblems I think, for a T1 2-hander?)
3. I had just joined the staff, and wasn't doing anything neat besides fixing bugs.

I don't doubt that this has been an issue on your mind for a long time, but I can't find a record of scenario weapon pricing being a large issue that was brought to my attention by you or the community at large since emblem rewards were generally increased and linked to score, and the prices were adjusted to mirror what they were on live. I say "my" attention, because sets in general are my baby, and these new sets were 100% my effort (save for their appearances) and entirely extracurricular.

So no, nobody said anything to me about the pricing of the sets in T1/T2 when they were revealed (except perhaps to complain that they cost emblems at all), and nobody had certainly said anything to me about weapon pricing, which was not under my umbrella until I started trying to get the costs lowered there after my sets deployed. I say the accusation is unwarranted because it is absolutely false. My understanding was that the number of emblems required to buy the weapons or the set was obtainable, and after I found it wasn't, I personally made the changes to attempt to fix that.

When you say that this is something that wasn't considered, you're not making a blanket attack on the staff, or leaving open the possibility to say, "well, maybe it was Aza's fault or something," you're directly accusing me of not putting thought into the pricing. Which means I absolutely get to tell you that you are completely wrong. I laid out the order of events, the logic behind my decisions, and the work I specifically did to address the issue after it was brought to my attention. Are you upset I wasn't able to do more? Figure out which staff members blocked me, and PM them. Are you upset I haven't done more since then? Well, sorry, I've been a bit busy lately, and my inbox seems to be missing any complaints.

Getting the full 5 dev gear can take awhile. I have all 3 of my toons in at least 3 piece of dev though, stalker and duelist have same level of armor, so mix and match a bit until you can get everything. At this point, Dev is end gear(medallion wise). No, you're not supposed to get a full set in 2 days. If you did, we would have far less activity.

NA people complain alot. We have oRvR, It's not 4 wb v 4 wb zerging, but we do get fights out there. The constant complaining about it, and outright refusal to fight a losing battle doesn't help us much at times though...

And the vast majority of the "issues" we are facing are either being fixed or are simply the fault of not having the entire game input currently. I know American's like to believe that their founders fought and died for the right for them to Bitch and Moan(as an Yank I am guilty of this as well), but jesus.... I am not upset about anything, i just wonder what was the logic behind the prices, because at the moment as far as i know, is not feasible to get any of the sets, buying weapons will take most of the emblems you obtained and/or you will outlevel the sets when you have enough to buy them.

And i ask to know to who are those sets aimed or what purpose they serve, no itemization or specialization wise, what are people supposed to do while leveling to obtain sc weapons + duelist in every tier wise. What are your expectation of how people who play purely scs or scs and rvr, the pvp part only, how many emblems they will have at 8, 18 and so on, because when i talk about disconnection thats what i mean, there seems to be a discrepancy in expectations of what people will have at certain ranks when you look at the prices of the gear.

I dont mind at all leveling up characters via scs only, hell, that is how i level up characters usually, to give you data on what the acquisition rates are and what to expect, is the whole reason why i am asking this questions honestly, the thing i love the most about this game is how very few pve i had to do, i could level up and gear with just killing people and currently there is very few things obtainable as you level up besides renown gear, which imo is not how the game was originally designed.

So i do not meant it as an attack, i ask it because if you as you say put thought into the prices and i dont have any reason to doubt you so there has to be a difference in opinions on how people rank up through pvp.

Since i really want for pvp to be a viable option to level up compared to grinding out rats, though i may be biased about it, i am genuinely interested on hearing why are the prices like they are at the moment, so we can work if they are fine or what they should be if they are not.

1. This is NOT the original game. No one particularly cares about the original game. If it was so perfect, then why is it dead?

2, full game isn't released yet.

3, When it is, you will find the exact same thing going on.

4, don't powerlvl through a tier if you want the tier rewards. That is entirely on you! People have achieved all the SC rewards, and even INF rewards before leaving the tier. Stop making stuff up.

5, Play the game the way you want too. Don't try to force the game to fit your style, try altering yourself a little bit.

no point in sc weapons with 35 weapons and epic quest weapons

have yet to see the r35 staff with better stats.
And cant complete the epic weapon quest chains atm (as destro at least) coz of bugged not respawning champion in Saphery and another bugged one for Talabec chain.
