Worst part is, apparently he thought some people were serious when naming him as class leader.

@Bretin: I'm sure you can find Bugsy in the Armory if you miss him that much ;)

That is what you call trolling?

Penril for troll class leader alongside Tesq

I am seriously shocked you suggested this.

One trick/realm ponies are our leading experts in balance questions!
I agree tomato. Plus, it gets worse, there are players in this community that have never even played their particular RoR class on Live and only know its abilities up to lvl 32 T3, yet feel completely comfortable discrediting the strength of T4 abilities they don't even have nor have ever used.

Funny, my experiences on live (i.e post 1.4.8) has actually hindered my ability to look at RoR class balance objectively. post 1.4.8. Where most physcial damage dealers were meh. All I remember from pre-1.4.8 was guard floating, dungeons, and being happy with full Invader.

i'm sure his knowledge about how to avoid fights in multiple ways (legit or not) is pretty extensive but i doubt he is an suitable nominee.

oh sweetie! I was eagerly anticipating a message from the Messiah himself! Bugsy was accidentally deleted (I even made a thread about it - surprised you didn't comment!) unfortunately :(

you're a good player, honey, but you need to come back to reality and realise that you are not as good as you purport yourself to be; anyone with tanks and healers as good as yours can create some good results!
please challenge sek on a sorc/WE/SW/slayer (heck anything), ensure both of you have the same assisting/molly cuddling from tanks/healers, and come back to me.

oh and before I turn off the keyboard warrior in me (as this is stupid, but you gave me the carrot!) you're a pretty average calibre WE compared to others.

I can't wait to see what you say back to me, sugar!

ON TOPIC:
I like the idea of class leaders. However, I would say that these leaders must:
* have good experience with said class - both on ROR and on live;
* have credibility with said class, i.e. they are known for playing the class well;
* have utilised the class in all RVR platforms, such as WBs and 6man groups

I would argue that those players with more experience in roaming with a group of 6 should take priority, given that it is a more challenging environment and really tests one's class - and how to synergise it with others - to the limit.

I don't think people realize the amount of patience a class leader must have. Picture having Bretin in every one of your threads and telling you "LOLL2PUBAD" e v e r y d a y. No thanks :^)

I think Nishka should be the Magus class leader, so he can tell us about our 0 CD pandemonium.

Sounds more like a popularity contest more than anything (guilds are pretty much just going to vote for their own members, lets be honest here). Seen this in other places and the only thing it's ever been good for is drama and jerking each other off. If the community as a whole wants it then sure why not, but I think archetype forums would be a better solution, maybe even class sub forums in those? I don't know, just a suggestion. But time to grab the popcorn I think.

^ Yeah archetypes could work as well. Only thing is some classes within the same archetype are so different to one another that it could warrant separate subforums.
