On live t3 we were not talking about 170 dmg bonus but 270. BAL hits hard when not cleansed but we wished to deal such numbers back then. ;)

defensive stats have also been higher back then, right? also people could progress alot farther regarding renownrank and level in t3.
so i guess there's that - the game changed a great deal with lotd and the rr 100 stuff, i quit when it got released, thus i cant talk about the game and how it was in t3 then, but i can talk about how it used to behave when t3 was from 22 to 31 and BaL has always hit that hard(with crit, flanking etc).

Was probably nerfed after you quit. Around 2k was the most any physical attack could manage in that tier I know from experience guillotine and exit wound hit for that I just cant see why BAL would be so far ahead of those skills if something wasn't wrong.

Its a shame the sovereign sets aren't fixed (assumption) or it could be tested in a T4 environment and you could more accurately determine if something was up.

BaL is ahead due to fanatical cleansing and flanking - if you're talking about t3 as it is now with level capped at 31.
regarding the other issue with how t3 changed after they released the rr100 upgrade i guess that trivial blows was implemented and people went for that, thus reducing the critical damage, furthermore exit wounds damage is always lower than the end tick of BaL, as it is the highest tooltip damage for melee skills across all classes.

I am talking about soft targets and the lvl bracket was 22-39. Torment critted in the 1,5k range. BAL last tick itself 2,5k on low armor targets(-> Conq set armor debuff procc!), previous ticks noticeable lower.
What you guys are doing here is defending absurd damage while using crap items.

When you quit like 2(?) years before shutdown, then your experiences are way off reality. People don't tend to deal lower dmg in later tiers or with better gear.

Maybe your experience is way off reality.

RoR won´t have RR 90/100 and mostlikely nor TB.
Hes experience is pre RR 90/100, which if I may say will be the same as RoR.
Maybe you guys just got too much used to TB.

You didn't critted TB targets for 1,5k on live t3. How dumb you think ppl are not factoring in TB when making such statements?

so the oil was running trivial blows then?

back to the topic though - BaL had an initial tick with the application and not a normal tick + endtick as this is providing a lot more backloaded burst than the ability should do.
about the damage numbers - a lot of people dont seem to be able to reproduce them so what should one do about that?
start the balancing once t4 is out? take a look at what is required to pull off numbers like this? look at counterplays instead of starting to QQ?
