BO because burst damage, stab u gooder and gork smash tactics, ws buff and armor debuff. Like mentioned ib's can deal great burst damage aswell and earthshatter can hit really hard but they rely on having 100 grudges to put out alot of damage.
What i would say is dont be that tank aiming for best damage, even if you spec for damage you are more important to your team keeping enemies perma snares, applying CC, guard switching and paying attention to your surroundings than going in and having your mind set on pounding someone to death.
As a dps tank assist your guarded mdps and pay attention to what is going on around you and you will much more important then a glass cannon tank killing a squishy then exploding yourself.

Chosens can do a lot of damage

This SS is so misleading, seen this chosen in many sc's aswell as some kotbs's that do the same, activate aoe aura overextend to rdps and healers who are stacked together and be completely useless to your team, its all fluff damage.

2h full off tanks are 100% useless.. your dmg is worse than the dmg of any real mdps class while your defense is even worse due to the lack of detaunt, anti root/snare (dont argue with moloch! it does only remove active snares but wont grand you immunity) and probably a charge to get rid off FF.

no offense but just look what ppl like jakob or kanzen are doing in scs.. they keep dieing in a split second while they are unable to get any dmg off.

another thing i wanna mention is that sc dmg stats are totally meaningless. look at all these aoe spamming engis, bw and slayer. unable to kill jackshit but always the most dmg dealt.

Hi, no offense at all, i agree with you and in the same time i don't.
I agree that in full offensive optic tanks are squishy, and i am when i'm plying this,
But i think you don't have seen all the sc where i was in offensive build, (same for jacob wich is a good offensive tank), because if needed i have a lot of screenshots to show that a full offensive tank can do many damages, and can be in the best amount dps in scs, and with the most kills, yes really.If you need some screenshot to prove that no matter just ask.
So i don't really understand why, for some people, offensive tanks are useless, it's just strange and narrow minded, so wtf ?
But, and that is cleary true, there i agree with you, an offensive tank must have another defensive stuff in his bag : always playing in full offensive optic is not viable, and yep for sure for some scs where i was with full offensive stuff+squishy tactics i was just useless because it was not possible to hit someone because i was already dead ahah.
I haven't played enough ironbreaker or swordmaster/black orc, to speak about them, but for kotbs and chosen, i'll say that they can do both nice damages.
Perhaps i'll say that kotbs could hit a little bit more than a chosen, but chosen is a little bit stronger, but for both it's a real pleasure to play them in offensive way.
The matter concerning offensive tanks is that we have a choice to make : playing with normal armor, nice/average dps, and average survavibility, or.. playing with squishy tactics, really cool dps but shitty survability..and with this second choice we really, really need one or several healers to keep us alive, without that we are just pop corn tanks, and it is what you have probably seen in some scs.
But it's often funny to see in sc that an offensive tank have more damage/kills than a real dps, so it is 100% useless ? Just open your eyes on battleground to have your answer.
Offensives Ironbreakers seems to be pretty cool to play in that way too.

The only way you could be "squishy" atm as a tank is if you choose to lot focused offensive as most of the gear is pretty much the same atm

And FO is literally one of the worst tactics in the game

@Demonthyr - its not about the damage you can deal but about what happens to rest of your team. do they die faster cuz you are unable to provide guard and support while you are focused on dps? Do they die faster cuz healers are focused on keeping you alive?

No matter what the dmg you can deal, proper geared dps would always outdps you. there was a reason why BOs were running snb focusing on guarding, buffing, assisting main dps. Or the reason why no 2h IB was running balls to the walls

Except the person didn't use those auras and actually did real damage in the scenario... The reason there weren't many kills is because of the large number of healers and lack of an incoming heal debuff.

Kobs do more damage due to runfang + 25% armor ingore than any other 2h tank in game and it's still durable like a wall, also it do not end the ap.
