I don't know if the exact same rule with the exact same color applies to fantasy. What I do know, though, is that Orcs believe certain colors will make them X. For example, Purple is considered da Sneakyboyz Kola. Why? Easy. An Orc wearing purple armor has never been seen in the battlefield

In the same manner, Savaj Boyz (and Boar Boyz) paint themselves with tribal warpaints which actually make them more tough and strong.

A "Royal" color denoting high social status in fantasy Orc society would be Black in case of armor and a very, very dark shade of green in case of the skin (Hence why, among many other things, Black Orcs wear black armor: to be feared among their kin (and to intimidate) with a quick glance, and why Black Orc Bosses can rally such WAAAGHs! under their banner: Da Black iz da tough'un Kola!)
