Either way. It's fine without it IMO. The TTK is already low enough when running without your dedicated team + healer (i.e. PuGs) and the /assist macro will only shorten that TTK for organized groups and heighten the frustration of the casual player.
IDK i can see "organized pugs" or good solo players in a scenario setting someone as a main assist and benifiting from it. Right now if you have a premade or even small group in TS/Vent you can coordinate quite well if you have someone calling out targets and positions... and they are good at it. So needing an assist button/macro isn't as big a deal.

Didn't think asking about being able to mark players would turn into a dabate about assist macros.
In my opinion, /assist is pretty standard in MMOs. EQ and DAoC both had them, if I remember correctly UO had it too. So it's nothing new and has been part of MMO for years.
That being said, when compared to the many things that need to be done on the server fixing assist would be a misuse of time, IMO.

ttk is very high right now. as i said most scs end with less then 10 kills on each side. often ist 2 kill vs 1 kill.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Less than 10 kills. Never seen less than 15 kills in the SCs I run in T2. Unless, of course, we are added late...

What you basically need to do is modify a few lines in the Intercom.lua file. Pretty much anyone with basic LUA and game knowledge should be able to do this.
You also might want to look at the other files once you get this working. There is a lot of hidden communication going on that now becomes visible and gets a spammy if you don't disable it.
Also, everyone in your group will need the mod.
Good luck

This is something I've been meaning to get around to for a while, and although I've modded other addons, I've struggled with this, mainly as I don't see custom channels being supported in RoR
Without sharing your file, can you at least divulge whether you hardcode (or perhaps spoof) a channel, if only to allow the checks to validate permission to speak in a group to be fulfilled - or whether you dispense (comment out) the majority of the content of those function and just vomit all data to /group?
