I agree, healing is an unthankful job, either you win the SC and noone sais thanks or you loose the SC and it's your fault ;-)

So basically, healers are like goalkeepers.

I see alot of ppl saying healing isnt easy etc etc, it aint hard either.
The same way you would moan at a snb tank for not guarding or a dps being the hero and charging into 6+ solo some healers are just bad and dont understand the basics.
Good healers generally dont receive hate and go unnoticed, the odd chance they do its the "hero" type player who should just be ignored anyway.
Dont suck at healing and you wont be seeing hate towards you.

yes, but no one tries to suck. Beginning players should be able to learn and get better without having the experienced players rip into them (even though it is frustrating for us to have weak players on the team).

This is, and always will be the reality of online games w/ public matches. Even in games with MMR and skill brackets. And nothing I have seen on this server can even hold a candle to the kind of stuff you see in other games, you can pretty much get away with saying anything you want in Valve games half the time in low mmr dota games sound like a KKK meeting.

This is true, im not saying ppl should rant but it is hard to give advice to ppl as they generally take it the wrong way and think you are being ungrateful.

While the score summary does give a good indication it doesnt show the whole picture, sometimes a cleanse or absorb can be more useful then a st heal but doesnt show on the summary. You can see often wp's or dok's spamming only group heals and being the top healer but there team still suffered. Same can be said with tanks especially dps tanks who score some decent numbers but they would be alot better for the team applying snares, cc and guard.

Im not saying abusing healers is right at all and at times you do get that idiot that thinks he can take a 6v1 then whine about dying but sometimes it is the healers fault.
