Only one of those mentioned tanks have his channel dps abbility tied to 2h only :-D. IB restricion to 2h only is because of up to 20% crit chance component. SM and BO channels are just damage like Kobs, Chosens and BGs ones who can use it with SnB.

Anyway THC on BO with SnB was unique difference between SM and BO because SM was more centered about 2h(WoDs) while BO around shield(10% block tactic, 50% block channel).

they are already great no horrible changes like that needed
and only the chosen and kobs need more spice it can be easily fixed without returning to the HORRIBLE aura swap mechanic
either you want to do damage as s&b or you are not playing a lvl 40 tank outside of pug wb
