Because, naturally, you are barred from forming groups and guilds yourself ~ the moment you even dare thinking about taking the initiative you'll get zapped through your screen, your mouse and your keyboard - all at once - to drill 'dat meta-obedience into your plebian head.

E: Fixed the typo spotted in the qoute below, bleh.

I am many things, but a leader is not one of them. I am far too abrasive and I know far too little about the metagame of RoR to lead a group. It would be foolish of me to try, and would do nothing but give me an even worse reputation than the one I am instantly assigned as one of the non-cookie cutter specs.

I have fun when Zaxxond dies.

Honestly, everyone’s definition of “fun” is different. Just find a couple like minded people. I’ve had glorious fun in premade WBs, and had my sides hurt from laughing so much in duo’s and trio’s with everything in between.

Define for yourself what you find “fun”. Then find others that want to participate in whatever that is. Also, understand that losing, and failure is a part of learning. Just don’t keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result...

One cannot put it any better than Dabbart did just there.

Tho, to respond to your concern regarding 'leadership':
- If you are forming a group/guild, it doesn't mean that you are bound to lead it. Plenty of people share the workload that comes with a group/guild, some members will take care of the raw logistics (e.g.: finding members, getting a supply line of mats and such up and running, yadayada), while others take care of the leading once you enter the lakes/scenarios.
- If you do not try to lead, you will - naturally - not get any better at it. Chances are you have a talent for it, and will never discover it because of your reluctance and refusal to try. No one just picks it up and performs flawlessly, practice is paramount to all things life.

To go about thinking everyone and their grandparents is out for your blood because you play a 'non-cookie cutter' is shortminded and rather arrogant ~ in a twisted sense.
Don't assume what people think of you until they actually voice their opinon about you... chances are, it is not the class or spec they are at odds with. If the latter is the case, then just drop the group/guild and look for people that share your definition of fun, performance and whatnot.

There are plently of people on RoR that play niche specs and classes, most of them do just fine as it comes to finding like-minded folk - if they don't win over people with their performance (which frankly barely anyone <really> gives a single, flying **** about - note here, playing a 'cookie cutter' does not translate to good performance either, there are plenty of derps that play like **** on decked out, BiS-geared chars... so meh), they do so with their personality (= read: by not being salty ****/good at banter/what have you).

You can use the the forums and the various discords (whether they are related to RoR or not) to find people to play with, if /5 yields no responses. There are plenty of hilarious gaming communities out and about, looking for active members.

E: Wording, typos, yadayada.

Just because you are unique and special does not mean you are useful.

Cookie Cutter is Cookie Cutter for a very good reason. . . it works.

I know of plenty of "special" people who spec "differently" and still play in organized groups. . . when no one else is available/on.

Not to mention most of the bulk on the server does not play in an organised warband but a pug. Plkay, have fun and don't care to much about what other's think!

form a group that caters to, and revolves around, your class then? I love wrath wp, yet would never expect people to invite me as a dps...so I make my own groups that facilitate to the wrath wp playstyle.

bit of initiative goes a long way (as does a bit less self-deprecating)
