I'll poke my head in to remind OP, the 6v6 scens were setup so the elite 6man groups had a structured format to fight in. It wasn't about creating a second tier of scenarios that has better stuff. Just solely bashing your heads against the best of the best to see who was better.
The pug scen however was created to introduce a second tier, a lesser tier, where individual "skill" is the only thing you can really rely on. Where tanks carry 2h weapons, forget to guard, and chase kiting ranged classes. Where healers spec dps for the lulz, the lazer beams, and of course for the ladies. The pug scen is a forced handicap, where instead of being in a group, you're in the lowest common denominator of groups. You're one of the many, the blissfully unaware, those who use default UI, the noobs if you will. Also the lazy and barely awake.
There is no glory in the pug scen. They are wet noodle fights filled with baseless accusations of cheating, and guildies trying to avoid each other because "ew grouping". It's the kindergarten of scenarios. The crayons are flavored, the glue flows freely into the mouths of the uninitiated, and half the valiant soldiers on the battlefield are wearing diapers. Whether they're noobs, or veterans too lazy to care if they **** themselves.
At least if you fight in the 6v6 scens you can do so with some honor and dignity. There's no amount of rewards that could grant you that great privilege.

So put in a condition that if domination kicks in losing side gets existing rewards. Right?
This sounds reasonable.
I echo your thoughts re entire groups being formed to do just that. I think it would be nice if people showed a bit more confidence, given that nearly everyone knows one another in this closeknit community...

I understand that is the purpose the scenarios were originally designed for, but are the points I have made concerning group play incentives, motivating people to carry on trying - even if they lose - etc., not valid ones? One only need to take a look at the situation of group play atm (or lack, thereof). Lest it appear that I am tooting my own horn, I dare say other people could vouch for this. Would it not be beneficial to have more people engaging in group play?
I do not claim to have a definitive answer to alleviating the aforementioned, but 'what's the harm in trying?' is essentially what I'm getting at. The competitive scene is dead, there is very little reason to group (as I explained in OP)...etc.

What about more equitable rewards for closer fights and substantially decreased rewards for one sided fights? Something like:
500v0 : 2 emblems for winner, 1 for loser
500v50: 4 emblems for winner, 2 for loser
500v100: 6 emblems for winner, 3 for loser
500v300: 10 emblems for winner, 5 for loser
500v400: 15 emblems for winner, 10 for loser
500v0 : 2 emblems for winner, 1 for loser
500v50: 4 emblems for winner, 2 for loser
500v100: 6 emblems for winner, 3 for loser
500v300: 10 emblems for winner, 5 for loser
500v400: 15 emblems for winner, 10 for loser

The more I think about it the more I see the 'new potential pugs' as a cannon fodder for the already established ones
Around 80% of the server playtime is about pugging, people group up for events/smallscale for few hours a week, the rest is pugging as much as possible. I see no reason to promote low quality groups only to get more 'premade' action.
If people want to, they will group no matter the rewards, giving bigger rewards for creation of 'premade' will bring nothing but salt and dissapointment
