Discussions between the devs?
Cause I've seen dozens of player topics with suggestions but none have made it to discussion.

I have seen 3 or 4, and most are about Assault stance. They were declined for different reasons, but the main one is that SW will probably get an .ab ex (Aza mentioned some classes here:
viewtopic.php?f=52&t=18310#p198610) so it would be wise to wait until that happens (if it does) and then make proposals based on that .ab ex.

Quick questions to those saying "there is no balance for 1v1..."
Is there a class saying : "I can't do anything versus a Shadow Warrior" or "Shadow Warrior is the class I fear the most" ?
If not, there is a Rock-paper-scisor bug.
I understand some classes must have higher chance to kill a SW, because it's their job. I can't understand to loose **% (enter a significant part here) of fights versus SH, or others ranged DPS.

SW is supposed to counter melee doks. This requires the SW to carry out about 1 minute of absolutely 100% perfect kiting. Unfortunately, due to gear levels, unless the SW is heavily geared and the DoK has low armor, it is ENTIRELY possible for a DoK to kill a SW with only fists of khaine. And if the SW makes a single mistake, the DoK will kill you. The SW has good panic buttons for this, but if you make a mistake the DoK will regenerate to full health and you need to not make another mistake again.
I think we're ok with choppas and maras, but it's not a case of domination. That I'll readily admit.
Tanks...yeh we can kite tanks for a LONG time. And get out mostly scott free. But our tank-buster skills require either a scout specc (and no kiting) or melee range (which would be stupid). Tanks can't really do much against SW's, but we can't do much against tanks either.
The problem is that we're the rock to the choppa scissor (and some maras) but everything else is a big fat paper to us, because we fear every rdps the most and we can't do anything against any rdps. Or healers. Or melee DoKs. Or WE's. Or tanks, unless you specc scout and keep distance or go melee and kite him until morale 2 several times over.

100% of fights against SH will go the way of the SH. Unless there is a gigantic gear disbalance/huge mistake on the side of the SH/unbelievable luck (dodging the ranged disarm, not sure if this is even possible, because I haven't dodged one yet). The SH gets to disarm you from range and dump 3 seconds of damage + all his dots in those 3 seconds. You die. Always.
Anyway, this is mostly a thread to talk about tricks with which we can overcome these issues, not a whine about our useless class. But just for your question, in case you wanted to roll a SW for 1v1s.

100% vs SH?
Roam in Assault. CW2/3 against the 2 to 3 DoT, detaunt pet, Skirnish, rKD SH, apply pressure and close the distance, Assault, melee disarm if needed to finish him/her up close with combo of melee and ranged. Make sure you have potions too.
This alone will get you a solo win against many SHers. You need to balance out your offense and defense, don't solo run glass cannon. If squig has spikey out, his defense is most likely shart.
...now, don't do the above against me...because I know, that you now, that I know, that you know what to expect...

And now image that this is Jurki who has RD, CW, 3-4 types of potions and 60+ rr. If he will smell that you try to close the distance he will run away, dot you to death, reapply it if needed and let pet nuke the **** out of you.
You are 100% dead againt competative squig

Then get RF, CW, and set up your buffhead to play smart also. Ask Jukri to duel with you, so you can get better.
And note that I said MANY squigs. Some people are just better players than you.

The problem is that squig has free mov speed and can easily control distance. Btw he can deal dmg just with pet. Even if you kill or detaunt it your health will drop faster, fight will be always by their lead when they are prepared.
The only chance is surprise situation when he doesn't see you first. But again it won't work with competitive, full-geared, gank squig

In the wise words of Allen Iverson:
"If I can't practice, I can't practice. If I'm hurt, I'm hurt. Simple as that. It's not about that at all. But it's easy to talk about and sum it up when you just talk about practice; we're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're in here talking about practice. I mean, listen, we're talking about practice. Not a game! Not a game! Not a game! We're talking about practice. Not a game; not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it's my last, not the game, we're talking about practice, man. I mean, how silly is that? We're talking about practice."
