Hi, my IQ been tested and its 69, I WANT TO DUEL RIGHT NOW

Haha I said the "iq above 70" only because someone said people would troll on duels(decent people would understand duels aren't balance)
Duels won't make you a better,it will only improve your reaction time,wich is good

A better and more productive idea would be to allow 6v6/12v12 against same faction. I don't much care about the lore in that regard.

While 6v6 on the same faction sound fun,let's stick to the topic,because there is already a huge debase here if duels shoould be allowd

I think that duel should be tried out, and that if it becomes detractive to the experience, it should be removed. nalgol has already indicated that he approves of duelling, offering him the necessary motivation to include it. It is true that players in this thread (including myself) have mentioned/believe that duelling in a game not based on 1on1 will be rife with imbalance, but my philosophy is this: If people want it and it won't hurt the gameplay or balance, then what's the problem? If duelling is really so bad, not a lot of people will do it and RvR / group PvP will survive just fine.

It's very easy to theorycraft about the repercussions of a new addition or a modification, but from experience, the only way you can gauge the true effect of a given change is to try it and test it, and that means a fair test, nothing short-term, to weed out any whining, novelty and metagame effects. I've been wrong with my own theorycrafting too many times to believe anything else.

Wrong. Winning a duel does not make you the better player in WAR. It's how you perform in group vs group and wb vs wb. I knew a LOT of good duelers who sucked ass when playing in a party.

It was meant like "the better player of the two duelists" not "the best/better player of the whole game". The statement was also not 100% serious, it was more like: "two players hold a grudge, then fight each other and the looser has to spend the rest of his (virtual) life in shame, while the winner gets all the ladies/gobbos/mutations."
I think i didn't make this clear enough and i knew a lot of players that sucked ass in duels and in partys

I'm totally aware that some classes perform much better in duel situations then others and that the real e-peen measurement is the group fights. Duels were more like fun events for me, when there was nothing going on after the primetime.

that sounds workable, removing the just gained XP/Rp should be relatively easy to do, just make those 3rd/4th real characters a copy and do no change the original ones.

tbh, we will have enough with the mailbox guardians to have ppl duelling and letting the opposite faction to take everything xD i like duels, but i dont like human mentality xD

so , all u want is the possibility to 1 vs 1 one of ur friend , just for fun ?
