Makes no sense u cant run this game. To be honest if ur info ur providing is correct and no mis-leading info i would say would have corrupt files or forcing tweaks not needed for this game. It can also be due to a memory issue. Turn off V-sync also and i see u might be forcing AAA on this and other tweeks not need for this. Forcing will make this game not playable.

I am not misleading you, I can play AAA titles on high graphics with some tweaking in the Nvidia Control panel and game settings. I have redownloaded this game 4 times, so unless the game files on the download server are corrupted (I doubt that), it cannot be corrupted files. I honestly believe that there is some inefficiency in the coding that causes gamebreaking issues on some systems. I have found at least 4 other threads in this forum within the last 30 days that share the exact issue I am having.

There are several issues with your statement. I am not having trouble with my card. My card is handling new AAA titles without a hitch. The issue is THIS program. If I had money to go buy an new graphics card, I'd drop 200 bucks on a 4gb 960.
Well if you do change your mind and decide to replace it, consider that the Nvidia 960 is pretty much a terrible card when compared to anything else in its price range. Spend a little bit more money and get a 970, or go with an AMD R9 model for cheaper price and better performance. 128 bit GPU's are ****, period.

Update: If I turn down my graphics cards clock and mem clock by 500Mhz each, the crashes are all gone.
GPU: Gigabyte geforce gtx 970 g1 4GB VRAM, 1753MHz Mem clock, Core clock 1178MHz, Core clock (boost) 1329MHz.

All my cards I listed here are all EVGA. Except my laptop and have no problems at all. Evga's warranty and quality u cant beat. There should be no reason u have to detune ur card. Damn that sux. I would contact gigabyte and give them **** and see if they can figure out something or a replacement or a roll back driver. You running Windows 10? Seems to be alot of issues with Windows 10 and that card.

Somewhere in the graphics setting of war you can set the memory cache of your gpu, maybe this is causing the problems? Dont see many games with that option around, and could be that this setting is not optimised for newer generation gpu's?

0x0000000000 error is ram related usually, had this on my first pc too, try to remove 1 by 1 rams and see if it work, if not both ram could be the problem.

Can also happening due OC voltage

""memory" gpu clock can freeze and crash your gpu, lower it to default then increase it according.

Not every chip is created equal anyway and nividia were famous to had a pretty bad compatibility with war
