Was already done, and some guilds joined up, but haven't heard anything for a while. Also seems the creator is taking a 3 day break :^)

Iirc, Caledor woods can be queued solo as a pug only SC? As trying to sign up sends a message if you have a group saying you must be solo or in a full group, something along those lines.

My opinion on this whole thread is that its a team game, a relic of the older MMO days, where you needed to be with a group of friends on comms to accomplish stuff. It's not hard to start up even a basic 6man with proper setup using /5 ingame, and with a guild/ally its even easier. The pug-6man can get win-streaks vs random pug with good players.

I just asked on /3 what people thought of having 1 SC map be for solo Q'n if you don't have a group on, server population is down, or just don't feel like fighting premades... unanimous "YES" across the entire board. Soooo why is this such a big deal lol? It would actually let premades fight more premades and stomp solo Q people less.

Lets say they all Q up solo. Oh well, the people not solo Q'd now have 1 less premade to worry about lol. It really is a win win. No doubt it would increase pop times in lower population times if the word got out that it was a solo Q SC.

As the majority of solo players, which is a large proportion, would only queue for that arena wouldnt only that pop?

What about the people who run with a small group (2-3)? Do they get stuck being pitted against premades?

I don't have anything against 5-6 mans being only able to queue with other 5-6 mans but then u further segregate the SC population.

This is a hard scale to balance.

Sounds like any 6 man that quits sc over loosing to another 6 man are just bullies that feel strong to beat up on pugs continually but cant stand to loose against another 6 man .
I would rather sc population to decline then to feed there insecure ego's.

Sc should not pop for 6-5 mans unless there is another vs 6-5 man queued also .

Some players can't take a death. I could mention several players in game but I won't. Sc que already shows who you are facing, if it also high lighted if the opponent qued as a group then any solo player would have full knowledge of what they are facing.

Generally the problem with this is that instead of playing and loosing the majority of sc people just won't play at all.

that's right... so, wouldn't be possible have it at rotation giving priority for some player to it? just that if ppl are not queuing in a party for at least 3+ if they loose to many sc they end up there.( or loose em like 500-100).
then they cannot return there as until all other pugs that match the same condition have pass throught that high priority queue for that sc; it's a matter of give a break to the ppl rather than kill premades.

I really doubt we'll see anything like this implemented but I'd be happy to see it going live.

Personally I think that a concept of winning a scenario with whatever you have is as interesting as a premade vs premade game so there should be a way to make it work. Maybe some scens should be promoted as pug or premade only. I think one CW isn't enough to show the diversity.

Basically having a premade is like using an ability that makes winning over a group of random people almost guaranteed. It's a really strong ability and right now it's usage is absolutely unlimited.

A lot of people (the majority of RoR playerbase prolly) get frustrated in the process because they can't/don't want to get a premade and farm other pugs while sitting on vent. The current state of the game doesn't even require you to go mad farming RR as the cap is low and the gear availability is limited, yet some people are fully on it.

Although, I think it would be safe to assume that the most premades are formed solely for the purpose of farming random people.

Gotta admit that random people on RoR aren't as random as they were on live servers — watching old WAR vids made me think that an average RoR player is significantly more skilled than a random live player. It's pretty obvious that private servers attract a lot of veterans who've been playing the game for years though.

Being a PUG you basically have an ability called "form a 6man group and queue". Using it you are almost guaranteed more fun.

How about playing with other players that you like (friends)?

They are still pretty random. I got tired of pugging so much and seeing guardless tanks, over extending DPS and DPS healers. I understand why some people play alone at times but it's not something I'd choose to do over playing with freinds.
