And you know if there are 2 zones being available for capture members of the larger zerg are going to break off to go fight the minority realm and that will making trying to capture the zone even more entertaining. That's my take on it anyways.

I'm just tired of these lockout timer threads. Just go necro one of the million others and stop making new ones. You and I both see a problem, but the idea of a lockout timer threatens my way of life in the game, and 1 good thing about this game for elitist players. The ability to switch and kick your ass. Instead you would rather me be stuck in your stupid zerg while bad players opposite us slowly log off. Lockout timer ftw? I think not.

Does it happen all the time? I gotta admit, I don't think it does. I think people really want to think x-realming is a problem, but I've never seen proof that it occurs. In fact, judging by the fact that everyone I know in-game hates x-realming and vociferously denies ever doing it, I'd say it seems less likely that it occurs, not more likely.

The only point of switching sides is to get medallions for gear. Those are the very people who don't want to fight. They just want to get something. You hate the idea of progressing YOUR character while the other realm doesn't, as long as they are still opposite you so it feels like an RPG. Because empty keeps do nothing for your RPG experience.

Is it realy fair the crappy player opposite you who also just wants to get gear? Neither of you like pvp, who cares to control either player. Neither you nor them make any difference. If there's guilds in RvR that matter, you will know it. And lockout timers are only 1 tool to stop good quality RvR.

I have seen several of these threads but never seen the idea of opening up more zones to combat a massive zerg. Sure 75 on 25 has been won by the smaller number before. I'm guessing even mentioning that will trigger a bunch of screen shots and old war stories. But having 5 guys break off to take a random elf BO while the destro zerg is in empire only to have the other 20 stay at the keep/BO's or go snag Dwarf splits up that big 75 man wrecking crew and makes for some interesting combat.

Some people love the massive zerg thinking it is takes strategy more than Tanks in the front, healers in the back, casters AOE the choke points. And sometimes it does, but usually not. Breaking it up a little bit would let the zergers zerg, and the tactical 6-10 man groups pick off other people in the less populated areas. Surely this has been suggested? I'm kinda curious what the reply was.

I agree with his point because he is right. If you make a lock out timer all you will be doing is solidifying the population for one realm to be dominating. If I log on order and still have my timer set to play order and realize, "Oh, Order is getting face stomped." I'm not gonna sit and take what time I do have to play and feed other peoples progression, I will switch over to Destro so that way the time I spent playing is still productive. And if I do log on and my realm is being decimated I am just going to log off or grind something for appearance items.

And don't get me wrong, if my realm is continuously losing but we are able to put up a decent fight to where there is a fairly decent give and take I will sit with my losing realm all night because it is fun to have the odds against you. However, when your realm does not even stand a chance why bother? It is the same principle of being in a scenario where the score is 350 - 0 and your realm has gotten 0 kills. At that point you can either become fodder or just wait it out.

By making 2 zones open for capture at the same time I will gladly run around on a toon for the losing realm and try to ninja zones from dominating realm. It is fun and it is what I did all the time on Badlands where I played Order (and for the most part Destro was always the winning realm).

I think we should all take the time to hear what Jed has to say about this...

Fair point above by Waffles. I won't log on to my Ironbreaker if my Marauder or Disciple is getting stomped in orvr or scens, but I will probably stop playing for the night. Or I will go farm appearance items in PvE or something. Or just generally do something besides feed. Same token, will definitely do a losing keep defense or keep assault if it's still fun and competitive.
