Arcing Power is part of the dps am tactic setup at rank 40.

Yeah, but is it used for keeping allies alive? Or as an extra survivability tool for solo DPS AM?

Legit question.

Which I hope will be looked at in t4.
Other than that heal shaman is great.
They have some major AP issues until better tactics and even then, have to wait till sov to fix that.
They can't cleanse Bright Wizards so they are a bottom tier healer choice.
Destroy Confidence will indeed be a problem unless it's fixed in time.
Multi-Atribute Dependancy- Healing Shammies in tier 4 will have a hard time keeping that AP drain up...something they need because aforementioned AP issues.
Their broken mechanic means being a dedicated healer and trying to incorporate life taps is a waste of AP and time.
Extremely limited on tactics: Restorative Burst, Ain't done yet, eats up two tactics, despite the Racial RUN AWAY! and WBY being awesome it's really hard to fit them in... basically all other tactics are looked over because of this need.
Hybrid is unplayable.

As for DPS:
Yes the Shaman is amazing 1v1 or 1v2, but honestly I couldn't care less about this, even the greatest shamans will get looked over when putting together a competitive group, leading to more shamans soloing, it's a vicious cycle. The AMs continue to slip by, being the king of solo and being an unattractive alternative in all other respects. Blessed are the DPS shamans that heal with lifetaps, but most are too bad to know how to do this effectively.
I think DPS Shamans have a spot in a 1 3 2 setup, helping with extra cleanse/snare puddles/AP drain/extra rez/ok-ish DPS. Several classes that seem "useless" actually shine in certain setups.

As for effectively healing with lifetaps, can it be done? I have tried and failed. I think healing/dps Shamans are fine, but their lifetap healing is not enough to keep a group alive. Even Doks/WPs can do a better job (imho) with Sigmar's Radiance and Transfer Essence. But Shaman/AM? They lack a AoE lifetap, and some skills/tactics like Fury of Da Green, Energy of Vaul and Arcing Power seem kinda "meh".

What are your thoughts?
DPS Shammy lifetaps are extremely effective in a duo, and adequate in a 3 man. But balance issues, as we know, are about 6 and above.

And in reading above to Gobtar's comments he is right. A pure hybrid Shammy just doesn't work. I really tried to make it work for a time with only meager results.

A DPS AM, who has no other defensive target than himself, is a bad one.
As bad as those who don't swap to healing gear, when being the only heal class on their team.

In agreement, the frusteration I have with the Shaman is we see how it should be on the micro but it doesn't scale up to the macro. AM/ Shamans do extremely well when they can bully around in small engagements, the fade into mediocrity as the game scales larger.

We are having a very constructive discussion on Shamans here bloodi. If you are here just to insult and mock people, please find another thread to abuse. And with that, you are on IGNORE. Have a nice life.

What i meant was: can it make the difference between keeping someone alive or him dying? Or is Arcing Power only useful as extra small bits of healing that help the AM (or his duo partner) when soloing/duoing?

25% feels really low. Maybe if it healed your whole group for 25% and not just your defensive target. Maybe if Waaagh! Frenzy/Expanded Control also changed I'll Take that!/Balance Essence so they affect your whole group.

Idk. As i said i feel healing/DPS Shaman is fine, and the only problem i see is their lifetap healing (in a 6v6/12v12 situation). I could be wrong, but that's how i feel. Cheers.

Arcing Power healing the whole party, with the occasional mechanic dump Gather Round/BoI, would probably solve the AOE healing problem lifetap shamans/AMs have without needing more lifetaps converted to AOE.

It wouldn't heal solo DPS AMs more than it already does and they might seem less selfish too.

You just removed a developer comment about how the change was not going to be made because you are pushing for the change.

If you want to have constructive discussions, trying to hide developer comments that tell people a change is not going to happen is maybe, not the best of the ideas.

But hey, feel free to throw more insults at me while trying to feign ignorance.
