Yes, and I HAVE done this on 2 chars.. so I understand this. I have invested a crazy amount of time on them.

Sorry, I think y'all misunderstand, as that is not what I am trying to say. I don't agree with any type of wipe, not a gold wipe or a gear/tali / etc wipe. But what I am trying to say is you can't have one without the other in my opinion for the exact reasons I've stated. I have 2 chars, for most part decked out, although some of my talis are in need of upgrading for sure, but I can't bring myself to spend 100+gold on a tali, so I save my money for now and plan to upgrade as I can. Others might very well spend all their money on such things. Or others might have 4, 5, 6 chars geared up and their gold split up between them all. Either way, a gold wipe isn't just a gold wipe if one player has spent all their gold on the best of everything money can buy on multiple characters while another player doesn't and only has 1 or 2 chars. It's a very grey area at best.

And as mentioned, you start wiping and even though it is alpha, a lot of players are going to feel a bit jaded about it for sure.
The mathematical difference between someone with 22s and someone with 16s in thier gear is something 50 of a stat and is completely negligable. On the other hand the amount of time it takes to get 5pc dev is about 3-4 weeks for the average player. Wiping gold is fine. Wiping all items is fine. Wiping gear that can't be bought with gold is not fine.
Whats has value varies from person to person, given that you can fail your way to full dev by riding the zerg and leeching I dont place great value on it. Obtaining gold legitimately to buy brigand stuff is much harder.

Its funny how people are always happy to see wipes happen to the parts of the game that are not important to them but want their little niche left alone.
1. I have zero toons in 5 pc Dev nor do I own a brigands anything, I was simply stating my opinion of what I think should and shouldnt be wiped if it was to happen.
2. The last wipe allowed the player to equip one set of gear, which could be used to protect brigands etc if it were to happen again, and everything else was trashed. All items, all gold, etc.
3. My logic is based around the wipe being done to balance the economy. Items not bought with gold are outside of the economy and therefore i felt they would not need to be wiped in an effort to balance it.
4. Lastly the backhanded comment is unappreciated and rude. Post what you would like in reply but I am done here.

Put the cost to list equal to the listing price. You want to put something up for 500GP put 500GP out of your pocket up front. If the auction expires, get back 80% of the money. If a sale is made, get back 90%.

Auctions don't expire unless you take items out of AH by yourself. If they added listing costs guess what would happen? Yes, prices would go up.

Need Gold Sinks

Balancing an economy is difficult. Trying to do a few drastic heavy-handed things will likely make things worse or just piss off a lot of players.

One obvious thing the game needs is more gold sinks. You can't have a healthy economy when the supply of currency is expanding too fast. Fees on the AH would help a little but you need more gold sinks.

More consumables from vendors would be good. Consumables from other players does not help...the same amount of gold is still left in game. Cosmetic items, siege equipment, potions, etc. It is one reason lots of MMOs require that you pay gold to upkeep gear.

Anyway, that is my view of it. Need gold sinks. Several of them, don't make any of them really expensive, just a little here and a little there will help a lot.

Potions and Talismans are already gold sinks. Respec is also very costly. Mounts and keep ownership also were gold sinks... guess wait until we can claim keeps again. ;)

Hi,

An idea can already be mentioned.

Put the gold in 75 PA but increase the number of kill.

By buying talis and pots you give gold to other player so the gold circulation at the economy will be same. He means to intoruce talis and pots \and other ways to spend gold to pve vendors\ that you buy from vendors so the the total gold start toshrink instead of just changing the owner

example for that is the pink day vendor. The problem imo is that many ppl dont even know it is existing

something like a potion merchant to keep price low could work indeed

Potions are already cheap and easy to make, further lowering their prices will result in both culti/apo/butch being unprofitable.
