Wingz and some other players prove that SM deserves a spot in grp, strengthening the setup not making it weaker, while the majority of the private server calls SM a gimp class or free immunity.
Same with BO.
How did u prove the SM deserves a spot in grp?

Remember: "its not about winning"

in addition, the original statement said - "even tho kotbs impact in terms of deciding a group fight is less than the one of a proper played SM. "

Again - how was this proven?

Remember: "its not about winning"

What a novel idea.

I didnt prove anything, Wingz did.

You just have to compare Kobs/ib to kobs/sm to ib/sm. Thats it. No need to win anything, just fight.
Wingz grp tends to do way better when he is on SM rather than IB or Kobs, which he plays awesome too.

Azarael wrote:I bear this firmly in mind and it's partially addressed in the balance forum rules. If your group is good enough to beat everyone, much less is proved than if you are fighting a group of equal skill to yourselves.
but then again the test server with 12 people is even more important because you would have the option to let those people circle through groups. they don't have to play in their premade to test balance changes if this would lead to an group imbalance. what is important is, that those people play their main role, Wingz for example on the tank archetype.
This. Which is for example the reason why, when i disagreed with you about SMs being the best tanks in game and you challenged me to a 6v6 to prove me wrong, i told you to group up with me and a couple people, me on IB/whoever you wanted on SM, and let them decide who was more useful (trying different setups). Keeping E-peens out of this conversation, i simply didnt have a group ready then for a 6v6 (and i dont think i have it yet) not that it would have proved anything anyway, as has been pointed out.

Rotating players from different premades/guilds and trying them out in different group compositions would be a better way to test certain specs/group setups, imho.

discuss the change -> implement if like so playerbase test it -> if proven broken reverse
it is so easy. The last step is quite hard for pay MMOs but since RoR is free u could easy do that so i would even say ror team got easier time for monitoring and discard some balance fixes
Mostly harmless

K8P & Norn - guild Orz

I guess I'm not understanding something here.

btw - even if i did look at this wingz character on his IB / Kobs / or SM.. it still doesn't show me anything. Maybe his other 5 group mates are better synergized with their class selection when he's on SM.. but if they were another class selection...Kobs is better. Maybe this wingz character has more experience on SM than the other two tanks... or maybe this wingz character just doesn't know how to play kobs/ib very well. It's really subjective... doesn't sound like proof...and I really don't like making generalizations based on one person anyways
