I only watched the 1st fight and neither side punted anything? What exactly are you saying? Pretty sure if your BG superpunted the slayers gaurd and you kd/punted the other tank at the same time you would of burned him even faster.

Just like pounce wo CD is probably the best defensive ability in the game. Defensive pounce will be one the best offensive abilities in the game.

Will be eipc when WLs and SMs jump on top of the keeps and are AOE healed from below. Or when tanks land in the middle of the fleeing PUG zerg and drop AOE snare (piggybacking a charge)

EDIT: IMHO 1.4.9 had the potential to be worst turkey patch ever
1. Added damage to BW/Sorc
2. Flying tanks
3. Reliable self heals for tanks
4. AOE armor debufffs for the slayer train

Honestly, this game was balanced so poorly that I think it would have to go through some pretty serious (and perhaps laughable) balance phases to hit it just right.

I mean Warrior Priest and DoK complained about each other for so long, now they are perfectly mirrored in their healing tree and well mirrored in the other 2 trees, do you hear them complaining anymore? Do you hear anyone saying how boring they because they are mirrored?
Giving Swordmasters defensive pounce will result in White Lions being permaguarded, which is ofcourse no issue since it means WL and Mara will finally be balanced!!!

Is a ranged knockdown really that different from a ranged stagger when we're talking about stopping a tank from running back from a punt or a healer from healing?
staggers are a lot less unreliable than kds, espically in pugs

No, no one one is talking about how how boring or well mirrored they are, rather they talk about how fundamentally flawed (and while conceptually cool), poorly executed the 2 classes are, toughness armor stacking medium armored healers with 2 resource pools stayin in the back lines spamming cleanses and gheals


The rkd imbalance is a whole issue in of its self that should some day be disscussed Like a whole other issue in of its self that needs to be addressed

i think if mara have several more tools than other mdps things could be move around to make it more complex or less strong overoult, like put PB on 3 pt on 3rd path due we cannot change things but just swap it around.

Depends. If you want a defensive pounce added to the functionality of an existing ability? 5 minute job. If you want another ability converted into the defensive pounce? Difficult.

How I had it set up on my test server a while back was that the AoE KBs would cause you to jump to your defensive target, if they were within range. If your defensive target was yourself, no jump would occur. I can set a conditional cooldown for this action as well.
