Re: 3rd Bitterstone Thunderers - Dwarf RPRvR Guild Bug.
I have an idea for another poster, but I need help. Who can tell me about most important grudges for Dwarves?

"Apparently, the individual who has earned the most entries in the book of grudges is Skarsnik, the infamous Night Goblin warlord and self-styled Lord of the Eight Peaks."

But the War of the Beard has gotta be pretty high up there as well... Not to mention what's her name the Vampiress that raised the Dwarves to kill their bretheren...
Remember, there is no word in Dwarvish for "Forgiveness" but many subtle variations on revenge, recompense and retribution.
Edit: Also... It's always kinda sorta bugged me. The main banner on Page 1. Does it intentionally not have the ending D for Settled? "There's Grudges to be Settle" sounds funny. And not Dawi funny...

It is meant as an something to do by the dawi, meaning to settle them.Dabbart wrote: ...

And Yes, Skarsnik is quite High on the List.
High Elves are of the List I think.
Most Highl elf Grduges were demed settled by the time The High King took the Crown of the Elfen King, ending the war of Vengeance.

Thrang glared hard at the Bitterstone Thunderers recruitment poster, his thick norse eyebrows furrowed fiercely. The engineer behind the desk, who had been examining a faulty manling timepiece, could ignore him no longer.
"It says..." he began "I know what it says!" snapped Thrang. "I'm mindful to join, I was just passing through, but a shocking bad job of it those manlings are doing; chaos everywhere."
He adjusted his backpack and leaned in. "Jus' one small question before I give my word; what 'appened to the 1st an' 2nd Bitterstone Thund'rers?!"

Lesti put the umgi watch back in the desk. Most of his Sergeants were in duty or missing in action.
Thralin his musician and adjutant long dead. His body burried in the frozen earth of High Pass.
And now every dwarf who walked in the office thinks he is grungni reborn.
Lesti looked the dwarf quickly up and down.
Furry brows, an accent heavier than a full cart of ore. It could only be a norse dwarf.
Even If he wouldnt have spoken his earthy aroma of dried fish and sweet mead would have introduced him.
"The First was lost in the war of vengeance. And the second at the Fall of Ekrund. If that is what you want to know."
With that he turned back to the brocken clock. They don't get teached rank runes these days he thought. Only grudges, Beer and wrenches the lads have in their mind.
Well Sergeant Finvjer should beat this one into shape.
"Only a norse Dwarf can tell another one what to do." That is how the saying goes...

Re: 3rd Bitterstone Thunderers - Dwarf RPRvR Guild
'Stumpi' Cogwasher wiped the sweat from his eyes and gasped. He'd never done so much running around in his life! Having been sent south to collect confidential documents at the command of his betters, he'd enlisted to aid the Nordland defence.
"Just not what we're used to up in the mountains, sir" he panted. "Stand in a line behind the shields and guard the beer, that's always been my job... we let our ironbreakers do the hard bit!"
He poked his finger down the barrel of the rifle he'd been lent and inspected it critically. "We don't get to use these, our ol' King got shot in the arse once, so they've been banned, see?"
Captain Ardisson had been scanning the distance for sign of the enemy, and called for advance. "Who are you anyway, lad?" he asked as he set off toward Festenplatz.
Stumpi grabbed his wrench up and shoved the rifle under one armpit. "Bjarni, Sir. Of the Clan Cogwasher; Least Engineer. They call me Stumpi, see? 'cause of me leg, sir..."
Ardisson had indeed noted the engineer's wooden leg, and the awkward gait it gave him. One detail nagged at him though; "Least, did you say?"
Stumpi looked bashful for a moment "Lord Surt Thunderforge said 'e was Chief Engineer, and that it was important t' know where everyone stood. My job is to oil the hinges, sir, on the doors, sir. The ones that stay locked. For the closed off mineshaft and such. Like I said, sir, Stumpi Cogwasher, Least Engineer." He managed to wince and salute at the same time, on the run, to Captain Ardisson's back. He knew the Captain hadn't heard most of what he'd said, but that was Stumpi's role in life, bottom of the stack. But, he thought, as he thumbed another round into the gun, if there weren't no-one at the bottom, there wouldn't be anyone at the top...
